Chapter 20: Watching the moon part 2

The air blows in Selene's direction, making her hair cascade despite pulling it up with some pins. Her neck was exposed, goosebumps forming on her skin. Her teeth chatter together as she crosses her arms, rubbing her exposed hand.

“Thanks for taking me here, my king. It's been a while since I watched the moon. I did that with my parents a lot before they passed away. I miss them,” Isabella said calmly as she rested her head on Rayne's shoulders.

Rayne's mind was elsewhere; she could hear the labored breathing of the human, and this was when it occurred to him that she was not a wolf yet.
