Kira's POV

Pain. That was the only thing that I could think about as soon as I opened my eyes.

I felt a sharp throb in my head and a deep ache in my joints, like I had fought a bear and lost miserably. Groaning, I pressed my palm to my forehead and rolled onto my side.

My throat felt dry. I hated the feeling so much.

I made a mental note not to get drunk anymore.

A quick scan of the room told me I was in my bed. My actual bed. Which didn’t make sense.

The last thing I remembered was being at the bar with Peter. His smile, his jokes, the warmth of his hand as he guided me to my seat—all of it played in flickers like a broken film reel. But then...nothing. Just a blank. A gaping hole where my memory should've been.

I kicked off the covers and sat up slowly, my body protesting every movement. That’s when I noticed something even more strange. I wasn't wearing the clothes I had on yesterday. The tight jeans and tank top were gone, replaced with an oversized t-shirt and soft shorts.
