Lahat ng Kabanata ng Rejected By MY Alpha ~ Claimed By His Beta: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

KARI'S POV A collective gasp ripped through the temple as I felt a pair of comforting hands around me, for the first time.Without thinking, I leaned into them, letting my sister hold me as shame threatened to drown me.This was a scandal that would ring through the ages, a public destruction of my dignity.“And as for you,” Titan said, turning back to me, his voice dropping to a lethal, cruel snarl.No…no..My mouth went dry with fear, and shock.“I, Titan of Wilder, hereby reject you. Our bond is severed. You are nothing to me now.”I doubled over as pain flashed in my lower belly, like hot iron being pulled through my insides, a final proof that our had been broken.I fell to my knees, the white silk of my dress pooling around me like spilled milk. The room spun, I felt faint. And through the haze of my agony, I saw Indira lean in, her lips brushing Titan’s ear as she smirked at my broken form.“Have this woman removed from my sight!” Titan boomed, “she no longer has a place in thi

VIKTOR’S POVThe city of thieves was just as the name implied.Perhaps even worse. It was a pit of soot and sin, a bustling maze of misery and crime.Tonight, the rain attempted to wash it clean, but failed woefully.I walked the cobblestone streets near the docks, the collar of my greatcoat turned up against the bitter bite of the wind. The humans walked pass me, huddled under their umbrellas, some of them oblivious to the predator walking among them, while others threw panicked glances at me before hurrying across the other side of the street.I didn't care much for either reactions, most of them had seen worse than me. Their people were often hunted by the vampires who lived beyond the great hills.I was simply tired. Three years of wandering had turned my blood sour, and my heart to stone.I had no pack , no family and no mate. Just the burning memory of the only love I'd ever known. Zoya, my Zoya.A familiar knot of sorrow and guilt formed in my chest, even though three years ha

KARI’S POVViktor hesitated, watching as I almost drained the glass. A shiver wracked through my body as liquid warmth pooled in my stomach, loosening the my taut muscles.“You shall have the room on the right side of that hallway,” he said, turning toward the door. “The other is mine. And you are never to venture into it.”“Well that's four rules now,” I pointed out. “Was it a miscalculation or are you just a liar?”His jaw tightened, a muscle leaping in his cheek. For a moment, the room felt thick with a sudden, suffocating pressure. Then he blew out a long, slow breath.“Rest, Kari,” he clipped, turning away. “I'll fetch you some dry clothes, they might not fit right but they'll have to do till tomorrow.”Tomorrow, I thought. Crazy to think that I was going to see a tomorrow after what I'd planned. And even crazier because I was looking forward to it.The first four months were a blur of hushed tension and unspoken questions. Viktor was like a ghost in his own home. But just li

VIKTOR’S POV The silence in the room was as thick as the chill, because the fire had gone out. “Titan banished me from Wilder Pack,” I continued. “He told the pack I was the one who killed Zoya in a fit of rage, and they all believed him. He's the alpha…and I was but a lowly orphan who'd been privileged to be made Beta.”“Viktor…”“I lost everything,” I whispered, glancing down at my hands. “I've spent the last three years wandering, never quite settling anywhere until I randomly stumbled upon this cottage that used to belong to an old gentleman who lost his wife at childbirth. I've been living here for a year now.”I raised my head to meet Kari's eyes again, feeling an overwhelming rush of an emotion that made me feel numb and warm at the same time. “The night I saw you on the bridge, was the first night I felt something in three years.”“Oh Viktor,” Kari's eyes shone with tears. “That’s it,” I tried to smile but it crumpled ruefully. “I don't know what to do to make you stay, but

KARI’S POVI couldn't remember my way back to the cottage. As a werewolf, directions were supposed to be easy, but I was no tracker. And the streets and buildings of the neighborhood looked completely identical.“Holy heavens,” I swore under my breath, frustration seeping out of my pores. Is this why Viktor tells me never to leave without him? I thought angrily.“Well he could've just taken me out and shown me the proper route!” I snapped irritably. This was a mess, I'd been walking for a long time. And I knew this because the sun had barely risen when I set out, just immediately after he left the cottage. And now the sun had cast a golden glow over the sky as it dipped beneath the horizon. Now I was hungry, tired and extremely thirsty.I dashed away the tears of anger and frustration gathering in my eyes, “this is exactly why they think you're weak, Kari.” I chided myself.“Why are you crying?”“Whoever called you weak, must be out of his mind.”I froze, my breath catching in my throa
