LOGINCain turned slowly at the sound of her voice.
Aria stood in the doorway now, one hand gripping the wooden frame for balance, Lynn stood behind her, looking all nervous and anxiously as she fiddled with her cloth. Aria moved forward a little, her eyes seat hing for answers. "What do you mean..." she repeated, her still gaze locked on Kael, "...by saying I called you mate?" Silence dropped. Cain stepped forward immediately, blocking her from seeing Kael. "Aria, you shouldn’t be out of bed. Lady Mana said you need absolute rest." he said, trying to change the topic. She didn't look at him, instead she went in front of him. "Answer me, Kael." Kael's lips curved into a small dangerous smile. "You don’t remember?" Aria frowned. "Remember what?" "Kael!" Cain growled silently. "You collapsed in my arms,'Kael said softly. “Your body reacted to me. Your wolf reacted to me. And you called me mate before you passed out. You claimed me as yours?" Cain's hand curled into a fist. "Enough." Aria’s chest rose sharply, she shifted back slightly, her breath hot, as her head spun with doubt. She kept looking everywhere but them. She blinked rapidly, shaking her head slight. "I said that?" "Yes," Kael replied without removing his gaze from her. "You did. You want me, don't you? Your wolf does baby girl." Silence stretched. Aria shook her head slowly. "That doesn’t make sense." "Aria, don't think too much about it. You said it because you remembered the painful feeling of the rejection and it was because Kael was the first person your wolf opened up to but when he rejected you." Cain explained, grabbing her hands and pulling her closer. "Your wolf shut down carrying residual echoes of his rejection. But the contact between you and him, opened up the old wound which you thought you had forgotten which caused so much pain and made your wolf reach out to what it had once known, before it shut down and went dormant." Lynn gasped silently, watching everything that was going on from behind. Kael growled, facing Cain. "That's not true. She want me." he said, then faced Aria. "Aria believe me..." He grabbed her free hand that Cain wasn't holding. "Believe me, I'm your only redemption. I'm the one you need right now. I'm your true mate." he rushed his words staring nervously at Aria. "Shut up." Aria roared. Her voice loud and inhumane, echoing through the walls of the palace making the place shake. Her head began to ache– slow at first, then sharper, throbbing and harsh. Suddenly silver light flickered briefly in her pupils before it finally began to glow. She sucked in a breath, her body trembling as a strange sensation swam through her veins– wild, untamed, powerful. Her wolf was trying to force it way out. "Aria!" Cain called and quickly removed her hands from Kael's. "I will make myself clear. Don't touch her." he warned Kael before letting his attention fall back to Aria who let out a loud shrilling cry filled with pain. "Arrrrggghh." she screamed, twisting her body in different way like someone who exorcism is being performed on. Kael moved forward trying to touch her, but Lynn was quick to stop him, casting a glazer glare at him. "Forgive my impudence Alpha Kael, but you have no right to touch her unless authorized by Alpha Cain himself.". He blinked in disbelief. "Aria," Cain said urgently, grabbing her two arms and pulling her closer. "Calm down. I'm here with you." "Don't force it, just calm down. You can do it mama." he whispered softly into her ears. Tears began to gush out of her eyes, her body shook violently. Lynn stared worriedly, covering her mouth with her hand to prevent her from crying while still holding Kael's hand. Kael watched, his mouth opened refusing to close. He couldn't move, couldn't talk. He wanted to do something, he wanted to help, but he could only watch. Aria cried out, trying to break herself free, but Cain pulled her closer, into a tight hug. "Mama, I'm here. Just calm down. I'm never letting you go Aria." He muttered lowly. His words struck deep into her, hitting her unsettled wolf. It calmed down, recoiling back gently as it soften to the voice it had just heard. Aria's body began to calm down, her temperature began to come down. She inhaled and exhaled heavily, then softly after several moment. "Cain." she whispered hugging him back. "Yeah it's me baby." he replied. Lynn and Kael sighed in relief. ******** Cain stood at the center of the dim room, a large wooden table between him and the four people he trusted with his life. Beta Max, sharp eyes, sharp jawline with calm face. Gamma Ray, broad, steady, eyes sharp with loyalty. Beside him was Nyx, commander of the warriors, her posture rigid, expression unreadable. She is the youngest female warrior of the pack but the best at what she does. And leaning slightly against the wall was Kade, chief commander of the warriors– the Silent Blade of the pack. Cain’s voice was low yet dangerous loud. "You guys have a special assignments." he said, "Kael is not to be allowed anywhere near Aria." Nyx’s jaw tightened. Alpha Kael? Is he still bothering the Luna." she asked. Cain nodded once. "He us a great threat against Aria as well as the pack." Max spoke, his voice calm and sharp. "But how can we protect the Luna,we each have other task's to do." Ray nodded. "You will assign those you trust to watch over Aria when you are busy, but when you are not... you will watch over her." "I will protect the Luna with all of my life." Nyx bowed slightly. Ray and Max chorused it also and bowed. All this while Kade was quiet and never said a word. He only bowed in acknowledgement that he understood everything that was been said. Cain’s eyes darkened a little. "If you see any sign of her losing control, pain, heat, you report without any delay. No hesitation at all." The four of them nodded. "Yes Alpha," they chorused except Kade. Silence followed and Cain sighed in exasperation. Lady Mana’s words echoed in his head, words he had tried to ignore. Words he thought wouldn't need him to take serious action. "If her wolf comes out forcefully… it will want Kael." Cain clenched his fists. "That would never happen. Aria is mine. I will protect her and her wolf. I won't let her go back to the same person he once broke her." He didn’t say his thought out because he didn’t need to. All he needed was to take action if not his bond with Aria will shatter and he wasn't sure he would survive that.Aria stirred slowly, her lashes fluttering open as the soft warmth around her pulled her fully awake. She tried to move, but it felt impossible as she was wrapped in strong arms, her body pressed gently against a firm chest beneath the covers. Her breath hitched for a moment as memories of the previous night flooded her mind.A faint smile curved her lips as a blush slowly spread across her cheeks at the thought. She wouldn't be exaggerating if she said it was the best night of her life. She snuggled closer to Cain, clinging to him like a second skin, not minding the fact that they were both naked beneath the covers. Her fingers tightened slightly against the blanket.A memory suddenly flashed through her mind, making her gaze shift slowly, trailing up towards Cain's neck. Her breath caught. The mark, it was real. She had marked him. How was that even possible?Surprise and confusion flickered through her eyes."How is this even possible?" she thought to herself.Inside her, Snow stir
Aria stood in front of the mirror, her reflection staring right back at her.The soft glow from the wall candles danced across her skin, highlighting every delicate curve the red lingerie clung to.It was… simple, yet dangerously beautiful. The fabric was a deep, rich crimson– thin and silky, resting gently against her skin like a second layer. Fine lace traced along the edges, forming intricate patterns that barely concealed anything, yet revealed just enough to drive anyone wild. The straps rested lightly on her shoulders, while the fabric hugged her waist before falling softly against her thighs.Aria swallowed, she was endowed and she knew it, but seeing herself like this made her heart race. She couldn't even imagine the look on Cain's face when he sees her like this.Especially with the light makeup that Mariella had done to enhance her beauty. Her lips were slightly tinted red– matching the lingerie color, her lashes darker, her cheeks holding a soft glow. Her hair fell loosely
Kael stirred slowly on the soft, warm bed as a faint, low groan escaped his lips as he shifted on the bed.His brows became knitted together when an instant dull, persistent ache pulsed through his head, spreading from his temples to the back of his skull. For a few seconds, he remained still, eyes still closed as he tried to steady his breathing and gather himself, but the discomfort– the pain refused to fade. Instead, it lingered, heavy and unsettling, like a warning he could not yet understand. With a quiet exhale, he finally opened his eyes and the first thing that struck him was the unfamiliar ceiling above him.He pushed himself up from the bed, ignoring the dizziness that followed the movement. "This isn't my chamber." he mumbled. He took in his surroundings quickly.Hair brush, clips and other accessories arranged neatly on a small table with other things which he found very unfamiliar.Gowns neatly arranged on a hanger at the corner of the room. And with it, realization began
Aria took a steady breath, pushed the door open, and stepped quietly out of her chamber into the quiet chamber.Just as she turned to leave, she bumped into something or rather someone."Ouch!!" she whined. "That's hurt." she mumbled rubbing her forehead as she slowly glanced up."Cain?! What are you doing here?" she gasped. "Why do you look like this?"Cain stood before her, hair disheveled and eyes filled with worry from searching everywhere. His uneven breathing and tense expression made it clear he had been looking for her desperately. Yet, the moment his gaze locked onto hers, relief flooded openly in his eyes, as he let out a sigh."Cai...He interrupted her by pulling her into a tight hug which she returned, slowly patting his back. He tightened the hug, as he was afraid that release her would make her disappear.Though tight, Aria remained calm and slowly allowed him to calm down."I searched everywhere for you?" he muttered, still hugging her with his eyes close– although he
Aria let out a soft, low breath as she carefully placed her cup on the table, the laughter from the joyous people and music continued around her."I'll be back," she murmured to Cain, offering him a small smile."Where are you going?" he asked."I want to pick up something and it's a secret. You will see it later." she responded still maintaining her smile. He nodded, his attention briefly following her retreating figure before he was pulled back into conversation by the elders around him.Not far from them, Alpha Kael watched. The moment he saw her walk away from the crowd, a slow smirk curled at the corner of his lips, dark satisfaction flickering in his gaze. He lifted his cup lazily, taking a final sip before setting it aside with quiet finality. Then he rose gently, with the smirk still plastered across his face.Without a word to anyone, he moved through the crowd, walking pass everyone yet his eyes never left Aria's figure as she walked ahead, unaware of the fact that he was of
As Alpha Kael's voice rang out, rich with authority."Let the festival begin", the courtyard erupted into life.Drums beat louder, laughter rose, and dancers moved with renewed energy under the glowing crescent moon.No one was left out from the joyous celebration. Everyone seemed to forget about the mysterious killer and the fact that they could be attacked on a day like this.Amidst the celebration, Kael's gaze shifted– it moved slowly across the crowd then stopped on a maid.Just like every other maid, she carried a tray of drinks, serving everyone she came across. But unlike them, she wasn't at ease. Her fingers fidgeted restlessly against the tray, her grip tightening and loosening as though she was trying to steady herself. Her steps were careful, almost hesitant, and though her head was bowed, there was tension written all over her.Like someone forced into something she could not escape. And when Kael's eyes locked with her, she froze unable to look away. Her heart pounded har
"Kael!!!!" Cain growled in deep raging fury.He took three long stride towards him, pulled Aria backward before delivering a loud sickening punch at him."You animal. How dare you?" he roared.Kael staggered from the hit, but was quick to control himself which prevented him from falling.Aria eyes
"Lynn!!" Aria stood up, walking towards Lynn as she walked in with a bowl of water and white towel. "I didn't see you through out yesterday." she pouted.Lynn smiled, dropping the bowl of the ground. "I heard my monthly visitor yesterday and as you know my glow becomes heavy and pain filled if I st
"Why do you look like someone who was chased in the dream?" Cain said coming into the room.Aria turned her head sideways, taking a good look at him. She smiled at him. "I wasn't been chased, instead, I ran thousand miles to see you right in front of him." she replied, blinking softly with pouted l
"Alpha, you promised to sort things out with Alpha Kael, but it still the same as ever. The pack members are managing the little they have." An elder complained. "The right wing pack cut ties with us. New moon pack is being divided by Alpha Kael– my brother." Cain replied, resting his hand on his
