Chapter Twenty Six – Reflect On It

Nina’s POV

After washing my hands, I stood in front of the mirror for a few seconds looking at my Makeup, the evening had gone better than I atleast expected.

For the first time in a long while, I had laughed without forcing it, I had smiled without pretending, I had almost forgotten everything waiting for me back at the palace, I adjusted my dress and turned toward the door.

Nikolai must have been waiting for me, I don’t want him alone, probably he came here

Chapter Fifty Six – Now HimNina’s POVBy the time I left the council hall, I was exhausted in a way that had nothing to do with my body. The elders had spent almost the entire meeting arguing about leadership, arguing about the future of the pack, arguing about things that should not have even been discussed while Tristan was still alive, and every word they spoke seemed to make me angrier than the last.I could still hear their voices in my head as I walked through the palace corridors. Some of them wanted Nikolai to take over immediately. Some of them acted as though Tristan had already been buried. Some of them looked at me like I was standing in the way of something they had already decided. The entire meeting felt like a battle I had walked into alone. For the first time since Tristan fell into that coma, I felt truly tired. Not physically but Emotionally. The kind of tiredness that settles inside a person and makes everything feel heavier. All I wanted was to get back to his r

  • Rejected By The Alpha I Made   The Wrong Person

Chapter Fift Five – The Wrong PersonTristan’s POVThe first thing I became aware of was pain. Not the sharp kind that comes and goes quickly, but the kind that settles deep inside the body and refuses to leave, spreading through muscles, bones and even breathing itself until every attempt to move feels like a battle you are already losing. For a long time I remained trapped somewhere between sleep and consciousness, unable to tell how much time had passed or whether I was dreaming, because everything felt distant and unclear. Sometimes I thought I heard voices around me. Sometimes I thought somebody was speaking directly to me. Other times I was certain I heard crying. The strange part was that the crying always sounded familiar. No matter how many times it appeared, no matter how many times it faded away again, there was always something about it that made me want to follow the sound.I could never reach it.Every time I tried, darkness swallowed everything again. Then gradually the

  • Rejected By The Alpha I Made   You Cannot Take What Belongs To Him

Chapter Fifty-Three– You Cannot Take What Belongs To HimNina’s POVI barely slept that night.Even after returning to Tristan’s room, even after sitting beside him for hours, even after crying until my eyes hurt, sleep refused to come properly.Every time I closed my eyes, I saw Nikolai and Alina standing together.Every time I tried to rest, I heard Nikolai’s voice again. If you cannot accept it, then leave the pack. The anger from that conversation had not left me.If anything, it had only grown stronger.By morning, I was sitting beside Tristan’s bed again, staring at his face while the sunlight slowly filled the room.He looked peaceful, too peaceful. As though none of the chaos outside these walls existed.I reached over and adjusted the blanket covering him.“You picked a terrible time to sleep,” I muttered quietly.A bitter smile appeared on my face.“Everyone is trying to steal your position while you are lying here doing absolutely nothing about it.”My eyes burned again. I

  • Rejected By The Alpha I Made   What I Heard

Chapter Fifty Three – What I HeardNina’s POV“You, what are you hearing?”Nikolai’s voice came firsta and sharp, sharp enough to cut through the quiet air of the courtyard and freeze me in place before I could even think of moving, and for a moment my entire body reacted before my mind could catch up because I knew immediately that I had been noticed. My fingers tightened against the edge of the stone pillar as I slowly stepped out from where I had been hiding, my heart beating too fast at first, my breathing uneven in a way I could not control, but even as fear rose inside me, because I was already tired of hiding what I had heard and tired of pretending I did not understand what was happening around me.I looked at both of them properly now, standing there together like nothing about what I had just witnessed was wrong, like nothing about their closeness needed explanation, and I felt something inside me settle into certainty even if it hurt to accept it.“I heard it,” I said slowl

  • Rejected By The Alpha I Made   See

Chapter Fift Two – Something I Was Not Supposed To SeeNina’s POVI had barely left Tristan’s room when my body started feeling weaker than usual, not in a way that made me fall or stop completely, but in a slow draining way that made every step feel heavier than the one before it, like my strength was no longer staying inside me properly since the day I gave part of it to him.I had not been taking care of myself.I knew it.I had been surviving on small meals when I remembered to eat, sleeping only when exhaustion forced my eyes shut, and spending most of my time beside Tristan even when there was nothing new to see, because leaving him alone felt worse than staying even if staying did not change anything. That morning I had tried to dress him properly again, fixing his shirt and adjusting the blanket over him the way I always did, even though he was still lying there without movement, still trapped in the same silence that had become normal in this palace. After I finished, I sat

  • Rejected By The Alpha I Made   Wake Up

Chapter Fifty One– Wake UpNina’s POVAfter hearing those words from Nikolai, I could not stop thinking about them no matter how hard I tried. The entire walk back to Tristan’s room felt longer than usual because my mind kept returning to the same questions again and again. Why would he say something like that? Why would he talk about becoming Alpha while Tristan was still alive? Why would he sound so certain? The more I thought about it, the less comfortable I felt.Part of me wanted to believe I was misunderstanding everything, but another part of me kept remembering the confidence in his voice, the certainty in his expression, and the way he spoke as though the future had already been decided. When I finally entered Tristan’s room, I closed the door behind me and stood there for a moment looking at him. Nothing had changed. He was still lying on the bed exactly the way I left him.The healer said the transfer helped him, but looking at him now, it was difficult to believe anything
