Chapter 18

My little body melted into his, I was slowly enjoying the effect it had on my belly. Uncountable butterflies played around my belly, giving me nauseous feelings.

We rode through beautiful landscapes and flowing springs. Xander didn’t stop for a moment to let me take a second glimpse at the wonderful creations around me.

If there’s a warmth much safer than the haven I was in, I don’t know. His large strong hands protectively wrapped around me, his huge body proudly towered behind mine like a protective shield. I love the comfort I was getting in his arms, I love the tension the brushing of his skin against mine gave me. My head rested on his hard chest as his hot breath fanned my hair and teased my neck.

We got to a dark wood and the horse trotted to a stop. He slowly let go of the reins and got down from the horse, he stretched out his hands and cupped me into his arms, dropping me cautiously on the ground.

He led the horse to a spot and tied it to a tree.
