I stood there for a long time as I wished that Cansil was there with me. It had taken me a minute to figure out who those men were and I felt sad that he had to be manhandled like that. He was the crowned Alpha for crying out loud, and he ought to be treated with respect, but nothing of that light was being shown to the world.

“Excuse me, madam,” someone said behind me.

Madam? I was still quite young so I don’t understand why I was being called that. Anyway, all I wanted to do was to vanish from all these. I didn’t want to stay here for a minute longer. Without turning to look at who had called me, I ran as fast as I could, going out of the market.

A couple of my mates could be seen at the other side of the road. I quickly turned my direction. I didn’t know where I was going. I simply moved like there was no tomorrow. I wanted nothing more but for them all to disappear. It was so annoying that they would keep doing things.

I didn’t know when I got to the fountain. I was so tired
