The runaway mate: Alpha's claim

Five years ago...

I have always rested my head under the thin chambers somewhere behind the store in the luxurious flat owned prestigious family. Everyday I wake up, I would cough up the remaining particles of wolfsbane. There wasn't any time I would wake up from my small home and not get sick, but that doesn't stop them from maltreatment and sending me out to do the works the littlest slaves would do. 

I was regarded as a slave omega who has no wolf. 

Every day....I would wish to rest my head somewhere by the rock, close my eyes and die, but unfortunately, death never came. I'd blame the moon goddess for bringing me to this world without parents. The only thing keeping me on my feet was the term 'Mate'. 

I believed my mate would be the one to take me out of this, so I couldn't wait much longer, I couldn't wait for my mate to come to me and claim me as his own. 

"Have you cleaned my shoes?" My sister asked me. Of course, she is the expected Luna of the pack. I have always wished she could be nice to me at times, but I knew I was just giving on an imagination that would never work. She is just the same with her parents. 

She turned, glaring at me immediately she was done wearing her shoes. "What are you still doing here? Are you done with all the chores?" 

I quickly fled away before she could pounce on me and torture me like she always does. 

'A little wolfless omega as I am' She would taunt. 

That day, I dragged my feet to the small stream to wash the clothes when I felt a thump on my head, tossing me off my feet and the clothes scattered on the floor. 

I saw a ball rolling beside me and a group of guys laughing at me. 

"Common, pick it up!! Do you want us to go there ourselves!" 

They were waiting for me with their hands folded, still laughing at me.

I stood up and picked the ball to give to them. "Are you serious right now? It's dirty. Clean it up!" 

It was the son of a council member talking.

 I quickly took the ball and dusted it with my shirt before handling it back to them. 

I quickly turned around to leave after that, but I could hear everything they were saying till I got to the stream. This was the strange gift I had. I don't have a wolf, but I can hear whatever a werewolf says, even if he was a hundred miles apart. 

I couldn't take it anymore, so I shut it off. I shut off my mind off the surrounding area I was. 

I dropped the clothes, took off my clothes, and delved into the stream. 

At that moment, I felt my heart pounding at an abnormal rate. It smells like rainfall and honeysuckle, and my whole body felt like it was in the depth of flowers and not the stream I was swimming in. 

"Mate." 

I turned around, surprised. 

"Mate." He repeated. 

He stood in front of me, shocked as I was. He stood out, tall and powerful. In front of me was the most beautiful man I have ever laid my eyes on. 

Man! I thought the men in the pack were handsome, but I guess I was wrong. And did I just hear him say 'Mate'. I noticed he was moving closer to me. He stood in front of me, smiling. 

He outstretched his arm towards mine, but I was hesitant. I still couldn't believe I would have a mate one day and that day, today... I still stared at his hand stretched towards me, I slightly frowned before taking it. 

I realized that when I took it, a spark occurred between us. I wanted to withdraw, but he held tightly to my hand, not letting me go. 

He pulled me to him, crashing his lips to mine. It felt like I was melting in his arms. He felt like the one I had been waiting for a long time. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and he took me up his arms. He carried me to the edge, still with our lips working against each other, and I swore I didn't wish to withdraw away from him. 

He finally let go after some minutes. We could hear our breaths against our ears, "I finally found you, mate. Finally." He smiled. "What is your name?" His eyes shone as he questioned. 

"Ria. My name is Ria." I smiled back at him. 

"Dante." He also said his name, wrapping his arms around my back. "And I'll like to tell you to the world, my beloved." 

I really wanted to tell him that I was an omega. The lowest rank of all omegas and the worst fact, i am without a wolf. But instead, he caught my lips again. 

I think I am in love, I could feel my heart beat at an abnormal rate. 

He pulled me towards himself, my hands all over his muscular biceps. He tortured my neck, kissing me closer to my chest. 

He pulled me to the floor, pecked me, and suddenly, I saw his shirt flying off. I heard his wolf make a purr, and I couldn't help but pull him. He pulled off his pants before capturing his lips with mine again. 

All my life, I have been treated as a useless slave. I am omega who would never have a mate, have no one to love me since I had no wolf. Now, I think I am gonna prove them all wrong, I now have a mate who loves me. I don't know what his reaction would be if he heard I have no wolf. That alone makes me scared for myself and my love.
