That night, Selly couldn't sleep. She kept tossing and turning.

“Is something the matter?” Jordan, who was beside her, asked.

Selly’s stopped mid-turn, he was awake all this time?

“I don't know,” she said as she turned to his side only to find him already propped on his elbow, watching her in that dimly-lit cottage. Although Selly wasn't aware of it, both their eyes could adjust and work just fine even in the dark. It's just that she never took time to think of it differently.

“Is it about tomorrow's journey?” He tucked her stray hair on her ear making her cheeks feel warm instantly.

“I think so.” She said, “Something about the tunnel’s entrance…”

“What about it?” He said, his voice deep and inviting against her newly-found sensitive and receptive self.
