Chapter 20

Scarlett's POV

" Derik!!" Alpha Carlos groans, calling out the guards. you could hear the pain in his voice and I felt my heart ache in pain.

"Let her in," he ordered and the guard bowed his head to me in respect as he opened the door for me.

I froze to the ground as soon as I stepped into the room, unable to move my legs with my heart thumping in my chest when my gaze fell on him, lying on his bed.

He wasn't wearing anything apart from his pants. His thigh was tied with a bandage and a faint of blood visible on it.

Our eyes interlocked and my heart skipped a beat. I didn't know what to say as all I could do was just stare at him with different thoughts running through my head.

I wish he could see that all that happened to me wasn't my fault. I wish he would apologize and love me the way he used to. He would see Jane for who she truly was and send her away while we lived happily together with our children.
