Third Person's POV

After lunch, Angus left for the royal palace.

"Damon, what have you decided regarding the punishment for the Ashfall family?" Reina asked as they walked back inside the mansion after seeing off the Alpha Prince.

"Life imprisonment," Damon replied smoothly. He glanced down at her. "Why? Do you want to see them?"

"No. But Oliver mentioned that they wanted to see you one last time," Reina stated. "I've completely broken ties with them, and I'm not keeping their surname either."

Third Person's POV "Why did you laugh?" Damon questioned, tilting his head slightly."Because Zayne is acting like a child," Reina replied, shaking her head softly. "Let's drop the subject for now. We can deal with him tomorrow. I need to start packing, thankfully we went shopping earlier this evening."She stood up from the bed, walking over to lock the bedroom door."I'll help you," Damon said. He headed into the walk-in closet and brought out two large trolley bags.Working side by side, they folded and packed their clothes. Since they planned on staying in Velinov for an extended period, Reina made sure to pack extra outfits for the long trip. Once everything was secured, they set the bags into the corner of the room and finally collapsed back onto the bed to relax. Reina lifted her hand, but Damon caught it in midair, softly twining his fingers with hers."What are you doing?" She tried to pull her hand away, but his grip remained firm. She tilted her head, watching him curiou

Third Person's POV "Alpha Zayne got drunk in a bar, so I brought him home," Penny told the guards at the gate as they took Zayne's weight off her shoulders."Thank you, Miss Sylvester," the guards said, helping the unconscious Alpha through the gates and toward the mansion.Penny climbed back into the taxi, settled against the seat, and gave the driver directions to her apartment building.'Should I talk to Reina once?' Penny thought, pulling her phone from her purse. She pulled up Reina's social media account, which she followed closely. 'No... it's their personal matter.' She shook her head, deciding it was best to stay out of it.Upon reaching her apartment, she freshened up before retiring to her bedroom. Yet the moment she closed her eyes, Zayne's broken face flashed in her mind again. Standing on the balcony of her apartment, Penny stared at her phone screen before finally typing a message to Reina:[Hey Reina, it's Penny Sylvester, the gynecologist from the pack hospital. I n

Third Person's POV After lunch, Reina sat with her laptop, searching for information about the Vance family, but as expected, she couldn't find many details. She typed with increasing frustration, her brows knit together."You're typing quite aggressively," Damon observed, sitting down next to her. He watched her closely, wondering if she was still upset over his reluctance to bring her to Velinov. "Is everything okay?""I was looking into my mother's family history," she replied without looking up from the screen."So, did you find out anything?""No. There's no public record available," she answered with a small laugh. "And I certainly can't hack into high-level databases."Damon watched her closely, realizing she was already deeply invested in unraveling her mother's past. It was a mystery that could only be solved in Velinov."Reina, is this because I said I needed time to decide about taking you?" he asked gently. She paused and finally glanced up at him. "Partially. If you end

  • Rejected Omega: Claimed By Her Ex's Uncle    Before I risk her life

Third Person's POV The next morning, Damon headed to the dungeons to deal with Fredrick. As he stepped down the dim stone passage, he found Fredrick washing his face over a simple water vessel in the corner of his cell. Drying his skin with a small, coarse towel, Fredrick paused at the sound of heavy footsteps. He turned around, a smirk playing on his features. "I knew you would come to me," Fredrick said, his tone dripping with unearned confidence. "Reina must have told you what I want, and what she expects to learn from me." "Yes, she told me that you expect a full return to your former life," Damon replied, a cold chuckle escaping him. "But you seem to have forgotten who you're attempting to negotiate with." Before Fredrick could react, Damon closed the distance, his hand clamping around the older wolf's throat. He slammed Fredrick's head back against the damp stone wall with enough force to rattle the cell. "You've forced my hand," Damon growled, leaning in close as the temp

Reina’s POV I kept applying hand cream to my palms while Damon finished his call with Oliver, instructing him to send Xaden, their specialized Gamma, undercover into Velinov. As he set his phone down, I spun around in my vanity chair to face him. "Is the situation in Velinov really that bad?""I can't fully confirm it through official channels just yet, though the intelligence Nica provided seems reliable," he explained, walking over. "Because witches are involved, I can't afford a careless move. Sending Gamma Xaden under cover will give us a clearer picture of what we're actually dealing with."The mention of Nica brought the evening's earlier conversation back in my mind, along with the conversation with my father in the dungeons."Damon, Nica and I were talking earlier," I said, standing up and stepping toward him. "She mentioned that I might be a healer. She said my wounds always recover remarkably fast, without draining my strength, because of an innate healing ability. When I r

Reina's POV "Yes, but I will tell you only if you appeal to Damon to free all of us," Fredrick said, a bargaining glint entering his eyes. "If not, then this truth will get buried with me," he added with a sinister smile. As expected, he refused to give me any answers unless I offered him a promise. This man had lied to me too many times before. This time, I wouldn't fall into his trap."How am I supposed to believe you? Who knows if I even have any relatives out there? Besides, my mother worked as a servant in your house, didn't she?" I questioned, crossing my arms defensively. "I don't wish to know anything from you anymore. It's better to just let you rot in this prison."If he actually cared to tell me the truth, he would have done so without trying to exploit my past or being so cruel. I turned my back on him for the final time. "Reina, don't be foolish," Fredrick called out, his voice turning desperate as he realized he was losing his leverage. "You want answers, and this is y
