Third Person

The Alpha’s guest house was the same as the first time she had moved in. But unlike the last time, Varik and Agatha were not present to welcome her. The guards at the gate wouldn’t let her car drive into the compound.

“What is the meaning of this? Do you know who I am?” Yella growled.

“The Alpha has not informed us of your coming, Lady Yella, and I do advise you to seek a visitation permit from Beta Varik,” one of the guards suggested.

Yella’s blood boiled; her nose flared.

  • Rejected While Pregnant: The Masked Alpha's Luna Queen   "If Only... Kael"

Third PersonTaron Caswell looked defeated, but what stung wasn't the defeat ... it was the person who had pushed the blade straight into his heart."For years you have schemed, paid your way to the top, and killed the very people who held your hand and drank from the same cup with you, thinking your family..." Liora paused and drew in a long breath. "Isn't it funny ... I did nothing. Kael isn't even aware. Your daughter handed over everything without me asking. All she wants is justice for her mother."Taron Caswell shook his head. "No, Yella would never," he stammered."Indeed, the little princess you raised would never betray you ... the daughter you thought hated her mother would take your side and lay down her life for your sake. For your sake she put aside a bond and married the same man who had caused her so much pain. But today we aren't talking about that little princess of yours ... we're talking about a soon-to-be mother.""No, Leonard would never let that child live." Lior

  • Rejected While Pregnant: The Masked Alpha's Luna Queen   The Letter That Sealed His Fate

Third Person"No... a servant's word cannot outweigh those of a former prime minister!" Logan Montreal snapped. Merlin's lips curled cruelly."Oh, really? Truth has never cared about rank. Moreover, this door was opened by the same man ... why can't it be used?" They were all speechless.Taron Caswell couldn't believe the same path he had laid out so perfectly was now turned against him. Everything stared at Liora, and something in him shifted. "There was no investigation... You knew from the beginning," he mumbled the words like the broken man he was."You are just like him." Realization hit Liora like a storm without limit. "He could leave at ease, not because he feared, but because he left something far more dangerous behind." Compliment or not, Liora enjoyed it. She watched the man who had schemed for twenty years finally show signs of breaking."Seal every entry and exit... no one steps in or out." The order resounded against the walls, and everyone turned to the exits. Taron Cas

  • Rejected While Pregnant: The Masked Alpha's Luna Queen   Ghosts

Third PersonThe moment Liora whispered "I won't die," her voice came out a little louder than she'd anticipated, and everyone turned. They quickly noticed her pale face, her trembling hands now in Emade's grip, squeezing even harder. Her jaw was clenched so tight her gaze pierced like a double-edged sword."My queen," one of the black witches instantly stood, but Liora held up a hand, stopping her. "I... am okay," she said through gritted teeth. Everyone could tell she wasn't; the trial could be put on hold."Sis... please, big brother will kill me if anything happens to you," Emade cried."We can withhold the trial, Luna," Merlin took a step forward, but Liora quickly pointed at him, stopping him."No," she groaned painfully, her voice barely above a whisper. "I won't allow my child to be born with such disaster lurking around," she said, teeth clenched. "Proceed." She roared, her eyes darkening as Ora came forward, her pheromones sweeping through the entire arena, the pressure suff

  • Rejected While Pregnant: The Masked Alpha's Luna Queen   Purity and Shame

Third PersonThe sky was clear, the rising sun guiding their way. "Are you sure you don't want us to stop for a snack... or sleep?" Varik asked for the seventh time, but Kael's face was as pale as always, and his lips opened only to let go of the same one-word reply. "No." He'd been saying that since they left. They hadn't stopped for anything besides gas and the location on the letter. Varik sighed and leaned back in the chair. Something was wrong with Kael ... the way his fists clenched on the wheel, the way he drove above the speed limit, the way his breath came out in slow gasps at times. "Is everything alright?" Kael's eyes remained on the road. "We have to get home soonest." Varik glanced down at the map they were working on. Soonest meant three days at most, with one stop for gas and maybe another for food. "The snacks Emade packed are almost finished," he complained under his breath. "Then get more when we stop for gas," Kael shot back, a little annoyed. Varik could tell hi

  • Rejected While Pregnant: The Masked Alpha's Luna Queen   Burned

Third Person“Yesterday's summary has been read, and we shall continue from there. Soren Acle, is it your word that yesterday's footage was manipulated?”“Yes,” Soren Acle answered confidently.“Good. Now, Taron Caswell, while we did end on the new footage taken from your mansion, everyone present wants to know how true the footage is.”“It's a lie. It was manipulated. There is no way my wife would say such outrageous things.”Merlin M smirked.“Indeed...” he chimed. “Then where is the footage of the night she died?”Taron Caswell came prepared. He quickly pulled out a drive, and instantly a guard stepped down and grabbed it.Everything was played before the people. It wasn't manipulated. They watched the same drive be inserted, and then it began playing. On the footage, Mrs. Caswell could be seen with her husband eating dinner, and when it was bedtime, she moved around the house, checked the curtains, and finally, when she was certain everything within the mansion was okay, she smile

  • Rejected While Pregnant: The Masked Alpha's Luna Queen   A Mistake for Peace's Sake

Third PersonFollowing Yella's encounter with Fredrick the previous day, Yella skipped dinner and locked herself inside her room. She mourned her mother, the only woman who had told her the truth, as bitter as it was. She refused the servants, and even when Moreen came with a bowl of freshly arrived apples, she rejected them. She didn't say a word. It was all quiet, with only her sobs echoing from behind the door.Moreen quietly reported to the main building, and Marvin carried the news to the boss.“Yella hasn't eaten. She won't open the door,” Marvin reported.Fredrick's hand did not pause on the document he was signing. His face was expressionless, and he continued his work with ease.Marvin studied him gently.“You planned this.”It was a statement and not a question. He was close enough to leave the ranks out of their conversations. After all, Fredrick needed someone who could stick his head out for him, not by oath but by bond. Between Bernard and Marvin, he trusted Marvin more,
