Chapter seven

I pushed her away angrily, and she fell to the ground in pain. I could hear her ankle getting sprained again. My wolf clenched at this, and I closed my eyes. I hated this mate bond; I wanted to torture this woman right here, but as a result of it, I could not.

I let my wolf control me once, and it didn’t end well. It had turned me into something I never thought I could be, and as a result, Cora came into my life. I would never let it happen, not at all.

I turned to the wolf in the room with anger in my eyes. "And what are you doing here? Get out!" I yelled at him, and he immediately rushed out.

She raised her head to me, and I could see the tears in her eyes as she stared at me. "You want to be my mate, don’t you?" I asked her as I grabbed her by the hair, making sure to hurt her, and she gasped in pain.

"Please stop; you’re hurting me." She yelled in pain.
