Chapter sixteen

"You’re such a fool, Leo—a hybrid, an omega at that. How could you let yourself go so easily?" I asked myself as I ran my fingers through my hair. I looked at myself below, and I realized that I’d really given myself away.

I was such a fool; a mere hybrid omega was able to make me feel so good; how could I let myself fall for her that easily? Was I that weak?

In anger, I threw the vase in the room to the floor. "Screw you, Cora. Screw you!" I yelled in anger as I turned to the mirror to stare at myself.

I moved closer to the mirror as I placed my hand on it and said, "I’m an alpha, not a random fool. I am someone who would never let himself fall for a hybrid, not even if that hybrid was his mate." I told myself as I ran my fingers through my hair. "I have made myself a promise—a promise that I would make sure this ceremony was one that would cause her pain, and I would make sure I keep my promise."
