The Luna Pt 2

“Hi,” Minsi uttered upon feeling her intense gaze on her. Rachel’s face lit up instantly, “I love her!” She declared when they had only met a second ago, and she didn’t even know her name. “Hi, I’m Rachel. Ace’s one and only little sister. I’m happy you’re finally here.” She rumbled, causing both her husband and brother to laugh. Rachel was oddly excited today, given that she was pregnant, which had been making her moody for two months now. “I-I’m Minsi, nice to meet you,” Minsi replied and stretched her hand to her. Rachel looked at her as if she had lost her mind, “Nonsense. Come here.” She slapped her hand away and pulled her in for a warm hug.

“This is Finn, my handsome husband.” Rachel introduced herself after pulling away from the hug. “And, I’m Stephanie. And this is my husband, Wade. God, she is really here, baby!” The woman wiped her tears. Minsi recognized the following woman. She is a doctor who treated her a day ago. At the end of the day, Minsi was introduced to the closest people to Ace, who were especially those four people. To Ace, these people were his family, and so he wanted Minsi to get acquainted with them as well. After the introduction, Ace took her hand, and together they made their way inside, where the formalities awaited.

They walked inside a huge venue which was stoked with people of all ages and colors. Minsi gripped Ace’s hand when they all turned to them. Ace squeezed her hand in comfort, placing his hand on her waist and pulling her closer to him. He then faced his people. “People of Mistwood. Young, elders. The long wait is over. Before you is my woman and your Luna. My command is her command. She is your person as much as I am. She has as much authority on this pack as I do. Treat her as she deserves, and we will not have a problem. Otherwise, we all know what would befall you. Now, let’s not drag this day any further with my boring talks. I’m impatient to marry this woman, and you all know that.” He announced, making the entire crowd of people laugh. Minsi lowered her eyes, blushing. 

“Do you want to say something?” Ace whispered in her ear. Minsi thought to herself and then shook her head quickly. What could she possibly say to them? She hasn’t even prepared a speech. She was already as nervous as they came. Talking would make her already weak knees give way. “Shall we begin with the formalities?” Ace spoke to the elders of the shrine. People’s eyes were glued to Minsi. She never had people looking at her as if she were the most precious thing in the entire room. Right now, she was experiencing it like a blow, and it was overwhelming her. These were her people. She knew she belonged here, and this was her home. 

The five women of the Shrine, who were all dressed in white robes, approached them. Minsi was asked to place her hand on top of Ace’s hand, which was outstretched. And then one of the priests, who was much older than the rest of them, used a gold piece of cloth to tie their hands together. He then took a red and white thread and tied it on top of it as well. She then held their hands together, signalling the remaining four to join her.

The other priests stood behind her; they all shut their eyes and recited something in a language that Minsi couldn't understand. Their enchanting voices echoed in the entire hall as everybody was quietly watching with so much anticipation. Once they were done, they were given a red drink in gold glasses. Both of them used their free hands to drink as they were told to hold eye contact. Then the priest took off the piece of cloth. Rachel brought forward two rings on a gold tray. She had this big smile on like a happy little kid all the time. 

The two of them exchanged rings. Then the long-awaited moment. Ace stepped forward, took hold of her chin with his long fingers, and then leaned down and captured her lips in a deep, sensual kiss. Minsi held her breath but quickly leaned onto him and kissed him back, shutting her eyes with tears streaking down her face. She could feel a strong bond being tied deep inside her. This was nothing like she felt with Duke. This was more. She knew she belonged to this man just as much as he belonged to her. 

“I present to you the Alpha and Luna of Mistwood. May the Moon Goddess keep blessing us.” The higher priest chanted. And that’s when loud cheers erupted. Minsi shuddered at the sudden action, making Ace chuckle at her. It’s like everyone was waiting for that moment patiently, and now there was nothing to hold them back. “Long live Alpha! Long live Luna!” The people chanted over and over again. Ace held her close, smiling from ear to ear with her. There was so much emotion in their eyes as they both drowned into each other as if they were the only ones in the hall. Bonds were getting formed, heartfelt promises were made, and love was sparking. All in silence with only their intense gazes and warm touches to seal them.
