Chapter 3

Drew is in the corner of the hallway waiting for Melody. When she leaves the stairs, she smells something sweet and woodsy. She glances around but doesn’t see anyone. Shaking off the feeling someone is there she proceeds to take out her key card and open the door.

Drew quietly comes up behind Melody wrapping his arms around her waist. She jumps and tries to pull away from him. “Melody, calm down, I am not going to hurt you. Do you not remember me?”

“Yes, Alpha Drew.” She sniffs the air this time without being scared. The realization of who he is makes her turn around and stare at him. “You’re my mate.”

“That’s right baby girl. Do you know how good you feel in my arms. I am a very lucky Alpha to have such a beautiful mate.”

A tear fell down Melody’s face. “You really want me?” Her voice comes out shaky.

Drew can see her fear in her eyes. “How could I not want you.” He finishes opening the door, leading her into the bedroom. As the bed comes into sight Melody stops walking. “Melody, you are my mate, this is what mates do. Let me prove to you how much I want you.”

Melody looks into his eyes to see if he is lying or not, all she sees is his desire. She wants so much to be loved by someone. This is her mate, he is supposed to love her is the last thought that goes through her mind. “I have never done anything like that before.” She points to the bed.

Drew gets a sexy smirk. “Don’t worry I will teach you all you need to know. First let’s take off this beautiful dress.” He spins her around and unzippers it, allowing it to fall to the floor. She feels his hot breath on her neck as he starts to kiss her. When she shivers at his touch his smirk gets bigger. “You smell so good and feel perfect in my arms.” Next thing Melody feels is her bra being undone; it joins the dress on the floor.

Melody turns around in his arms. Her face is red, and her hands are covering her chest. “Are you sure you want me? I mean you are handsome and strong all the girls want you and I am. I’m just me.”

“I told you I wanted you. Trust me.” He kisses her ever so gentle on her lips. The next thing she finds herself falling on the bed. Drew is laughing at her. Melody returns the laugh. “Climb to the middle of the bed like a good girl.”

Seeing him still smiling, she feels safe and does what he says. “That is a good girl.” Drew climbs on top of her holding his weight off her with his arms. He growls at her as he licks her neck. “This is where my mark will go when the time is right.”

Melody turns her face away slightly allowing him to get better access to her neck. “You feel so hot being this close.”

Drew sits back to admire her. “This is only the beginning.” His lips return to hers. His tongue sliding across her lips wanting entrance. As she parts her lips to allow him in, he explores her mouth. Melody runs her hand though his hair. She feels his hands roaming her body sending electric tingles all over her. A moan of pleaser leaves her mouth.

He breaks the kiss starting to trail small kisses down her body. Stopping at her breast, he takes one of her nipples in his mouth sucking and nibbling on it.  She pulls at his hair enjoying the feel of his lips on her.

“I think my girl like this.” His lips trail tiny kisses down to her panties. Slipping his fingers on each side of them he slides them down her legs discarding them on the floor. As he inserts a finger Melody tries to close her legs. “I guess that’s a yes then.” He grabbed her face and kissed her, not giving her a chance to say anything else.

The next day they woke up late, around noon. Melody sat up, all smiles. She sees Drew sitting on the bed wet from the shower.  “Are you going somewhere?”

“I thought you would be hungry. Go get a shower and get dressed. I am waiting for you.”

Melody took her suitcase in the bathroom with her. “What should I wear?” She picked out the only dress she had. “I want to look nice for Drew.” The hot water in the shower made her sore muscles feel better. She was so happy she hummed the whole time she was showering.

The sound of talking came in the bathroom as Melody got dressed. “I wonder who is here.”

 As she entered the room she saw her brother. Looking from one to the other, a strange feeling of dread came over her. Drew lifted his hand to her. “Melody, come here.” Hesitantly she walked closer to him, not taking his hand. “I need you to accept my rejection.” He said it as if she was nothing.

“You said you wanted me. You made love to me and told me I was your mate forever.”

“I do want you. You are the only one that can carry my heir. Alphas very rarely get anyone other than their mate pregnant. Even chosen mates have a hard time conceiving a child.”

“Then why are you rejecting me. I will be loyal to you and love you only like a mate can.”

“The pack will never accept you as their Luna. Eric and I discussed it last night, before I came to see you. I will make sure you have a house of your own, on pack land and not need for anything. Whenever I want or need a pup I will come to you. The way your body feels I will most definitely come see you for the fun of it.” Eric and Drew laughed. Seeing the tears about to fall on Melody’s face, Drew got more serious. “I will choose a Luna that the pack will accept. She will raise the pup I have with you”

“You want her to raise my pup.”

“Of course I will let you see it. You can be its doting aunt and spend time with it as long as you don’t tell it you are its mother.”

“You’re telling me I will be your mistress. A mistress to my own mate. What kind of mate are you?” Tears are running down her face and her heart is breaking at his words.

“It won’t be so bad. I will keep you company from time to time. I can’t take the risk of you turning out to be like your mother. I will not get hurt when you decide to leave or allow you to take my pups from me. This is the way it has to be.” Drew’s voice is hard and more controlling.

“I am not my mother! I am Melody Timmons! Stop seeing me as her and see me as me.”

“Look, Sis. You are like her now. How do you know what you will do in the future. If I was you, I would take Drew’s offer or else.”

As mad as Melody is, she realizes that she has to go along with their stupid plan for now. “Fine, if that is what you want. But I have a few requests.”

“If I can do it, you can have it.”

“I want to finish my trip with Bonnie.”

“Is that it?”

“No. I want a piano in the house, also I want to finish school.”

“That is all doable. I haven’t had a chance to talk to the Alpha or your father yet. I don’t think they will disagree with us.”

Eric gets sarcastic as he explains things; “Dad and the Alpha aren’t in a good mood they had to go help another pack with rogues. They left right after we got here yesterday. As soon as they get back, we will tell them what is going to happen.”

Drew takes Melody by the chin. “You understand what I am telling you right.”

“Drew, we have to get back to the pack our dads left us in charge.”

“Thank you for letting me finish this trip; I will be back with the rest of the class.”

“You and Bonnie are good friends. If you behave, I will let her visit you at the house. Just remember you can have female friends at the house. I never want a male to touch you. You would not like the consequences.”

“I will remember, Drew.” Melody, wanting to deceive them, made her voice low and scared.

Eric, still in his harsh tone, glared at Melody. “That’s a good girl. We don’t want to leave you in the dungeons for disobeying your future Alpha now do we. That is the only option you have, dear sister. So be grateful to Drew for his kindness. Could you picture being pregnant in the dungeons.”

“Eric, that is enough, she understands the consequences. Now we are going back to the pack. While I am there, I will get everything set up for when you return. I promise you will have a good life as long as you listen to the rules.”

“Dad always thought you would be a waste of time. At least you’re worth something as a breeder.”

“Eric, I told you to stop. You are going too far.” Drew turned to Melody. “We will meet you when the bus gets in on Monday. There are guards positioned around the resort, behave.” He took a deep breath. “I, Alpha Drew Hampton, reject you, Melody Timmons, as my mate and Luna.”

“I, Melody Timmons, accept your rejection, Alpha Drew Hampton.” A sharp pain hit both of them in the chest as the bond breaks.

Without another word the two of them leave her in the room by herself. Once they are gone, she falls to the floor and starts to cry. “Moon Goddess, how can you give me such a hateful mate. Please let me trade him in for a better one.”
