Henry’s povI've never seen anything like this my entire life, how the hell is a witch just randomly putting all of us to a dumb test to prove something useless, it doesn't even align with the reason why we are here. We've been in the woods for 5 days now, not having a freaking clue where we are headed or what awaits us, we are just getting stupid tests here and there. Now stand in front of a grown man who apparently just failed his test and is doomed to stay in this place for the rest of his life.I'm definitely beginning to get pissed at all these useless tests. What is even more frustrating is that I'm yet to be tested.“Common, we should be headed back now.” Lukas’s tired voice says to us.Adonis standing right where Abia's ghost vanished looking overwhelmed he says, “what does she mean by I'm doomed.” He says in a low tone as his body stands motionless and his eyes stay still.Lukas walks over to him, grabbing hold of his arm and draws him to come with us as we walk back to our ca
Sinclair’s povAbia's ethereal spirit just appeared to us telling Henry not to blame himself for his family's death. He explained to us how it happened, and I kind of feel sorry for him.But that doesn't mean I'm okay with abia putting us to some stupid test, I've known her for over two centuries and I'm sure she's just playing around with these tests and it pisses me the hell off.She better not try putting me into some stupid dumb test, apparently I'm the only one who hasn't been tested. The others aren't aware of my long relationship with abia, no one knows that I've known her this long and I would like to keep it that way.Ever since I put all the pieces together I came to the realization that Amelia might actually be Ares, my brother's mate.I will stop at nothing to get my revenge on him for kicking me out of the vale that rightfully belongs to me.Lately it seems Amelia has been avoiding me, and I have noticed her during her sleep. I believe this appeared to her in her dreams,
Amelia's pov,I heard some sounds as I slept; groggily, I sat up and noticed Sinclair shaking and moving in his sleep.I looked around and everyone was fast asleep, taking off my sheets. I stood to my feet and walked over to where Sin was sleeping; even though we weren't on the best terms, I still had to check up on him.Getting to him, I squat and tap him gently trying to get him to wake up. It took a few taps before we finally opened his eyes, stood up quickly, and grabbed me by my clothes.“What's your problem?” I whisper angrily, trying not to wake the other. His eyes were wide open as he looked at me like he just saw a ghost.“It was a dream?” He said with confusion laced around his voice.Feeling lost and confused, I ask, “What was a dream?” Looking at Sin who seems to be in shock, just sitting still and pretending like he didn't hear my question, I ask again, this time in a more firm tone.“What was a dream?” I carefully stated.Tilting his head in my direction, looking straigh
A moment of silence lingered as we stared at Abia, the woman who had put us through difficult situations just to meet her and get answers.A feeling of mixed emotions laced through our faces, not knowing whether to split her into pieces or go straight to the point of the reason we're here. She kept a welcome face on as if nothing had happened, “Welcome, my friends.” She said with a grin, “Come in.”We looked at each other before walking in and entering the room; it looked completely different from what we had expected since it was a cave; the inside looked like a Normal house except that it was like an abandoned house for over a century They were covered in cobwebs, and some of the leather chairs in the living room were dusty.“Make yourselves comfortable,” she said, signalling to have a seat in the living room. “Make yourselves at home, while I get you something.”As she was about to walk out of the living room, Sin had a pissed look on his face which he's had ever since we walked t
This was a shocking revelation to us all, wondering why Sin never told us about his twin brother and why he's so pissed that he will be coming. With the agonising look on everyone's face, it was evident enough that we were all shocked to our spine.Who knew Sin had this big of a secret? No wonder my wolf didn't accept him at first, my intuition is often right, but I let my emotions get the better of me this time with Sin.Adonis didn't look as bothered as the rest of us were; maybe he also knew with the way his face kept on twitching.Rissa rolled her eyes in thought, “How come you never told us about your brother Sin.” He said, “Why have you decided to keep such a secret away from your closest friends?”As usual, Sin did not answer the questions Rissa threw at him.I giggled and escaped the mouth of Abia, “Don't worry Karissa, all your questions will be answered any moment now.? She said before sipping her tea once more.Sin, looking tensed, already visibly sweating, finally made eye
Fear was evident on our faces as we all stared at the monster standing in front of us; I was still in shock to think that the man I saw in my dreams was real and standing right before me.He takes a seat on the sofa and pours himself a cup of tea, “I'm sure I'm welcomed after all this time, Abia.” He says. Then he takes a look at all of us, “Why do you guys look frightened? Take a seat, we have a lot to discuss.”Reluctantly, with fear laced through our faces, we took a seat, looking at this man-beast to whom I'm weirdly attracted. I couldn't help but feel drawn to him just by looking at his body; even Rissa was checking him out, and Nico noticed. His wings somehow disappeared from his back as he sat down, but that is the least of my worries right now as he keeps staring at me, and I'm too scared to hold eye contact with him while Abia sits comfortably waiting for the show to begin. He cleared his throat, “So it's nice meeting you all, well, not all of you,” he said sarcastically, Sin
Appearing in a different place from where we were, I stumbled to the ground as we appeared in front of this huge black-coloured mansion. It was quite obvious we were in a different realm because the sky was orange instead of the usual blue.Ares stretched a hand to help me off the floor, but I ignored him and stood up myself; I pushed him with all my might, “You freaking monster! Where are we?” I moaned.I tried to push and punch him but he didn't even move an inch, getting me even more frustrated.A little laugh escaped his mouth, “Calm down, Amelia, you're safe here; this is the vale, my world.” He said making his way through the small steps leading to the entrance door of the mansion.Nico and Rissa were also teleported along with me, giving me a little relief knowing I wasn't here all alone.“I'm guessing we should follow him,” Nico said.I still felt pissed that he teleported us here without our consent, but we are here now and might as well go with it.I shrugged, before followin
“What do you mean by we die, we never even wanted to be here in the first place, you're the one who teleported us here against our will.” I moaned “And now you're here and if you guys don't undergo the acceptance ceremony you die by nightfall.” Ares said.A look of distress on Nico's face, “Amelia we have no other choice we have to go through with this, remember the mist is still ravaging everyone back home.” A sigh escaped my lips, “Fine, but how do we know it's not a trap to keep us here forever.” I said.A little laugh escaped from Ares, “you really think I'm the bad guy?” Sin said sarcastically.I rolled my eyes, “No, but I still don't trust you, we met like yesterday, remember?” I said.Ares smiles devilishly, “really we met yesterday?” He said, making my blush, but I instantly changed my face back to a straight face, hiding my emotions.“So now that everyone is on board, immediately after breakfast, I'll have people set up the acceptance ceremony.” Ares said.Even though we ag
