Rose’s POV

Something was wrong.

I could feel it.

Even with my eyes still half-closed, the forest no longer felt calm. The energy that had once pulsed gently around me had turned… restless. Uneasy.

Like something had been disturbed.

My breathing grew uneven.

“What… is that?” I whispered.

The Lycan King didn’t answer immediately.

But I felt it—the slight tightening of his grip on my hand.

A warning.

“Focus,” he said quietly. “Don’t let your fear control you.”

Easy for him to say.

My heart was rac

  • Rejected by my Alpha, Desired by the lycan king    Chapter 12

Rose’s POVThe clearing felt colder than before. Every breath I drew made my lungs ache, as though the air itself had been poisoned with tension. My wolf paced restlessly inside me, muscles taut, senses straining. It was impossible to ignore the lingering presence—the one that had mimicked Alpha Sunny so perfectly, whose voice had sent shivers down my spine.“Rose,” the Lycan King murmured, his voice low, almost intimate, “focus on me. Right here. Right now.”I blinked, trying to steady my trembling hands. My heart thudded violently, each beat echoing in my ears. I can’t do this. I can’t face it again. I’m not ready. But even as the thought formed, my wolf nudged forward. Instinct screamed: You are stronger than you think. You can’t run from this.I shivered.“Tell me,” I whispered, voice barely audible. “What is it? Why is it after me?”The Lycan King didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he studied me with that piercing gaze, golden eyes like molten fire reflecting a truth I couldn’t

  • Rejected by my Alpha, Desired by the lycan king    Chapter 11

Rose’s POVI couldn’t move. Not because my legs were weak—though they were—but because my mind refused to let me.What had just happened… it wasn’t Alpha Sunny. Not really. That thing in his place—whatever it was—had looked exactly like him, sounded exactly like him, but it wasn’t him. And somehow, I already knew that nothing about this night would ever be normal again. The forest around us seemed… heavier. Denser. Alive in a way that went beyond wind or leaves or moonlight. My wolf snarled, pacing inside me like she wanted to escape, wanted to fight, wanted to claim the danger before it claimed me.“Rose,” the Lycan King said, his voice low, dangerous, holding both command and reassurance, “look at me.”I obeyed, slowly raising my gaze. His golden eyes were fixed on me, unblinking, unshakable. And though I had seen his power before, tonight it was… different. More intense. More alive.“Do you understand now?” he asked softly.I blinked, shaking my head. “Understand… what?”“Everythin

  • Rejected by my Alpha, Desired by the lycan king    Chapter 10

Rose’s POVSomething wasn’t right. The moment that thought settled in my mind, it refused to leave.I stared at Alpha Sunny—really stared this time. His face. His posture.Even the way he breathed.Everything looked normal.Too normal. But my wolf…My wolf wasn’t calm. She was pacing inside me, restless, uneasy, growling low like she sensed something I couldn’t fully understand.Danger.The word echoed faintly in my mind.My fingers tightened slightly against the Lycan King’s arm.He noticed.Of course he did.His grip around me shifted—not tighter, not possessive… but protective.Like he already knew what I was starting to realize.“Rose,” Alpha Sunny said again, his voice softer this time.Too soft.“I just want to talk.”My chest tightened. That voice…It sounded like him.But something about it felt… hollow.Like it was missing something.“Talk?” the Lycan King repeated calmly. His tone held a quiet mockery.“You’ve said enough already, don’t you think?”Alpha Sunny’s eyes snapped

  • Rejected by my Alpha, Desired by the lycan king    Chapter 9

Rose’s POVThe silence after it disappeared felt worse than its presence. My ears rang.My heart refused to slow down. And no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something had just… shifted. Not outside. But inside me.I turned to him slowly. The Lycan King stood still, his gaze fixed on the darkness where the creature had vanished. His jaw was tight, his expression unreadable—but the air around him had changed. He wasn’t calm anymore. He was… holding something back.“You said it was nothing,” I whispered. My voice sounded smaller than I expected.Weaker.But I didn’t care.“Then why does it feel like everything just changed?”He didn’t answer. That silence again. It was starting to frustrate me.“No,” I said, shaking my head slightly. “You don’t get to do that.”His eyes flickered toward me.“Do what?”“Stay quiet,” I snapped. “Pretend like I didn’t just see that thing. Pretend like it didn’t say something about me like it knows me.”My chest tightened again.T

The strange energy inside me was still rising, swirling violently like it had been waiting years to be released. And now that it was awake……it refused to go back to sleep.“I don’t think I can control this,” I admitted, my voice shaking.“You can,” he replied firmly. “You just don’t know how yet.”Another sound echoed through the clearing.Soft.Subtle.But enough to make my entire body stiffen. My wolf growled low inside me.Danger.My e

  • Rejected by my Alpha, Desired by the lycan king    Chapter 7

Rose’s POV The forest had grown still again, but the air was heavy, as if it were holding its breath. Every sound—the rustling leaves, the snapping twigs, even my own heartbeat—seemed louder than usual. My hand remained in the Lycan King’s, and yet I felt as though the ground could collapse beneath me at any moment. I didn’t know if it was fear, awe, or something far deeper stirring within me. My wolf had been silent for so long, yet now it buzzed like electricity coursing through every vein. It was not just awakening—it was throbbing, aware, and insistent. “You’re trembling,” the Lycan King said quietly, his golden eyes studying me with an intensity I could not bear to meet directly. “I…” I choked on my words. “I don’t know why.” He tilted his head, as if humoring me. “You do. You feel the bond, don’t you? And you know what it means.” My cheeks heated, my breath catching. I had never spoken aloud the word “mate,” not after what had happened with Alpha Sunny. Not after the humil
