Rachael POV

I stared at the letter, my fingers trembling. The paper felt heavier than it should. Not because of its weight… but because of what it carried.

A secret.

A deep, dark, soul-shaking secret.

My breath hitched as I read the words again.

"Kael is alive."

No.

No. No. No. That can't be right.

Kael my brother. My blood. My best friend.

We were together that night, the night the pack was attacked.

I still remember it like it happened yesterday.

Everything about that evening plays clearly in my head, like a dream I can’t wake up from.

The smell of pine in the air. The soft wind brushing against my arms. The sound of leaves crunching beneath our boots.

It was calm. Too calm.

The sky looked like magic that night. A beautiful blend of orange and purple, the colors soft and warm, as if the heavens had gently spilled paint across the clouds. I remember staring at it for a second, thinking, This is peace. This is home.

Kael and I had gone for a walk. Just before moonrise. It had become o

Rachael POV The door flung open with a loud creak, breaking the silence in the room and snapping me out of my heavy thoughts. I turned quickly, eyes still swollen from everything I had just read in the letter. My heart was still racing, the truth about Kael eating me up inside. I wasn’t ready to talk… but when I saw who it was, I froze.Deren. Renren. My heart skipped.I hadn’t seen them in years not since the Greymoon Pack was attacked and everything I loved was destroyed. My parents were killed that night. My home was burned. My future… lost.Yet here they stood, like the moon had carried them to me just when I needed them most.“Rachael,” Deren breathed, her voice soft, eyes already filled with emotion.I opened my mouth but couldn’t speak. Instead, I rushed forward, arms stretched wide, and hugged them both tightly. It wasn’t just a normal hug it was full of years of pain, memories, survival… and hope.“You’re alive,” I whispered.“And so are you,” Renren said, her voice low b

Rachael’s POV.I stood frozen, my eyes locked on the figure stepping out from the trees. He looked rough his hair was long and messy, his clothes worn and dusty. His face looked tired like life had not been easy. But even through the dirt and the years, I knew that face. I knew it deep in my bones. He looked exactly like Heden… my father’s Beta. The man who had once stood by my father through every battle. Loyal. Brave. Strong. I hadn’t seen him since everything happened. I thought he was gone… maybe even dead. But here he was, right in front of me.“Are you…” I started, my voice trembling. “Are you the one who’s been cleaning the graves?”He looked at me calmly, his eyes soft. “Yes,” he said. “I am.”I blinked fast, trying to process it. My heart beat wildly in my chest.“Heden…” I whispered, taking a step closer. “You’re… you’re Heden. My father’s Beta.”He nodded once. “That’s me.”I didn’t wait.I dropped my guard and ran straight to him, wrapping my arms around him in a tight

  • Rejected by the Alpha, Choosen by the moon   Chapter 14

Eunice’s POVWas this the betrayal she meant? The warning from the Moon Goddess had never left my heart, but now it echoed louder in my mind. Was this that moment she spoke of? The moment everything could either fall apart or begin to finally make sense?Dominic stepped closer, slowly, like he was afraid to break something invisible between us. His voice was calm, but there was a tremble buried deep within it.“I know I don’t deserve your trust,” he said, his eyes not leaving mine. “But I want to earn it. I’m not perfect… but I swear, I’ll never hurt you. Not today, not ever.”For a moment, the world stood still. The forest that surrounded us usually wild with whispers and rustling had grown quiet. The fire beside us had shrunk to a gentle glow, its crackle soft like it, too, was waiting for my reply. Even the wind paused, as though the night itself respected the weight of the decision before me.I didn’t answer right away.I didn’t say yes.But I didn’t say no either.I just turned

Rachael POV.He cleared his throat, eyes not meeting mine."Rachael... he said, his voice rough, almost like gravel being dragged across the floor.I stayed silent. He looked up finally, and in that moment, I saw a mixture of fear and shame in his eyes."I was sent to follow you," he said. "By Alpha Ezekiel."My brows furrowed. "What do you mean 'sent to follow me'?"He swallowed hard. "He gave me a mission. I was supposed to gain your trust. Then kill you."The words landed like thunder in my ears.Kill me?My body stiffened. I stood up, almost knocking over the log I was sitting on. I backed away slowly, heart racing. He raised his hands gently. "Rachael, please. Let me explain.""Explain what? That you’ve been lying to me all along? That you’ve been waiting for the right time to strike? You had one job… to kill me, and now you want to explain?"His voice broke. "I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t carry out the act. You’re not what Ezekiel said. You’re not a threat. You’re..." he stopped

  • Rejected by the Alpha, Choosen by the moon   Chapter 12

Rachael POVI woke up, heart pounding, breath uneven. The dream still echoed in my ears the lady with silver hair and moonlit eyes, her voice soft but filled with power. But now that I was awake, everything felt blurry. The words she said, the warning, the moon… it was like trying to remember a name that was on the tip of my tongue.“What was that all about?” I whispered, rubbing my eyes.I sat up slowly, still trying to make sense of it. But even as I thought harder, nothing clear came to mind. It was like the memory had already started fading. Except… something felt different. My body… my mind… it wasn’t the same.I could feel it.There was strength bubbling in me, real supernatural strength. Something had changed. Something powerful and divine. The Moon Goddess had touched me.I looked at my hands, then stood up. My heartbeat slowed down to a calm rhythm, even though my body felt like it was glowing from the inside. The fear I used to carry? Gone. The confusion? Silenced.“I’ve bee
