Noah's POV

"Alpha, I think you should take this." The Healer told me, forcing a small bottle of something green into my hands.

I stared at the bottle, frowning in confusion. "And what might this be?"

"It's a mild sedative. To make you sleep off the pain...." He explained. A small look of fear flashed before his eyes as he spoke, and I felt the unease in my heart grow."

"I'll take it when I need it, Healer." I replied, setting the bottle on the stool by my side.

"That's alright then." The physician finished with a flourish, standing to his feet. "You're good to go."

I groaned as I sat up, feeling a short and sharp pain pierce my left side. "Can I stand on my feet now?" I asked.

The physician nodded. "Sure, you can. Send a guard to me immediately you feel anything strange within your body."

"I'll do that." I muttered, giving the physician a curt nod. "Thank you, Healer."
