Noah's POV

My world seemed to shatter around my ears at Kenneth's revelation. The words hung in the air like a death sentence, a heavy weight that crushed my chest, stealing the breath from my lungs. I released my grip on Kenneth, stumbling back in shock, my heart pounding in my ears.

"What... what did you just say?" I stammered, my voice trembling with disbelief.
