Chapter 23

Avery woke up the next day feeling nervous. Today was the day she was going to find out how the servants are branded. She didn't know what to expect but she felt she needed to know and was prepared for anything that might happen.

Avery went around her regular duties which consisted of not much since she was a queen. All she had to do was supervise the servants working in the house and while doing that, she noticed that every servant seemed eager to work under her with some servants sneaking when they thought she wasn't looking to work.

She made a mental note to ask Solution and Cabrera later in the evening.

Once the house cleaning was done, she saw that it was already five in the evening. Dismissing the servants who for some reason looked sad to stop working, she walked towards the farms in hopes of seeing her two maids.

Looking ahead, she noticed both of them carrying a bundle of Hay. “It's really nice to see you guys after all these while”. Avery said with a smile on her face.
