Margaret and Isabella stood on the spot with annoyed expressions.

“How exactly are we going to explain to dad that we snuck out of the pack”? Isabella asked nervously.

“Calm down Isabella”. Margaret said coldly. “We have to get our story straight”. She began.

“What story”?! Isabella exclaimed.

“Keep your voice down”! Margaret hissed in annoyance. “How about announcing to everyone that we went to see a cult responsible for the curse afflicting their alpha. I'm very sure they'll all be very happy to hear that”. She said.

“Are you crazy”? Isabella asked in shock. “Father might let us off but our days in this pack are definitely numbered”! She replied. “It's only a matter of time before one of our pack mates kills us”. She said.

“Sometimes I wonder if you inherited your low intelligence from your father or your grandfather because it definitely wasn't from me”. Margaret said in annoyance.

“What'd you mean”? Isabella asked in an offended tone.
