Aries POV

I spent the next day building the plan—detail by detail—preparing to infiltrate the Ghost Pack and finally bring Rex home. Just as I expected, a few of my allies backed out, whispering excuses and caution. But the ones who remained? They were enough. Loyal. Fearless. Ready.

This wasn’t going to be a war. No more blood-soaked fields or open confrontation. I’d already paid that price in warriors. In time. In pain.

This time—we were going in smart.

“Have you sent the meeting letter?” I asked the moment Julian walked in.

“Lilly volunteered to take it personally to Alpha Ronald,” he replied, settling into the chair across from me. “Since it’s a formal alpha-to-alpha request, and she’s your third-in-command, he can’t deny you entrance without insulting your authority.”

Smart move. I nodded. “Good. And the men of the shadows?”

“They left this morning,” Julian said, though I could hear the hesitation in his tone. “But… Aries, are we sure we can trust them? They could be feeding us f

  • Rejected mythical Luna   Freedom?

Rex’s POV It had been hard to fall asleep last night, probably because Rose, Lilly, and I spent hours catching up. It was necessary, though. I could tell how worried Lilly was just from the way she talked… and the way she clung to us. But even after everything she told us, she still refused to say how they found out we were here. That, she claimed, was Aries’ story to tell. By the time we finally got to bed, it felt like only a minute had passed before sunlight was spilling into the room, hot, blinding, and almost as if it knew something historical was about to happen. I never imagined Aries would even consider merging the packs, but for what the banished had suffered, it was the best choice. For once, they could belong without being watched, suppressed, or treated like they didn’t exist. I got ready quickly and stepped outside, only to find Aries waiting for me. His smile spread instantly when he saw me. “Were you waiting for me?” I asked, walking into his embrace. “We need to

  • Rejected mythical Luna   Merger

Aries POV;I’d thought it through long before I suggested merging the packs. I knew they wouldn’t jump at the idea not after everything Robin had told me about the years of disappointment they’d faced. But I wanted to give them back what the Elders and the rest of the world had stolen for no good reason. And I was sure that was what Rex would want too.Considering Rose, Lilly, Zane… and everyone else, it was the best option. The Elders had no control over my pack, no ties to us at all. They couldn’t dictate our moves, and they couldn’t openly attack without exposing themselves. As far as I was concerned, the plan was airtight. So when the cheers went up after my reassurance, I let out a slow breath I hadn’t realized I’d been holding. My gaze found Rex’s tear-filled eyes, and I couldn’t help but smile. I wasn’t lying when I told her I was taking her home , but now, it looked like we’d be going back with her people too.“Are you sure about this?” Robin asked as soon as I walked back ove

  • Rejected mythical Luna   First Step

Rex’s POVThe past few hours had been nothing but a blur, yet the steady warmth of Aries lying beside me grounded it all in reality. He was here. Really here. I could hear his breathing, feel the weight of his arm draped lazily across my waist.Outside our door, I could sense the presence of others, hovering, hesitant, like they weren’t quite sure if they were allowed to approach. Not that I blamed them. An Alpha in their midst wasn’t something the banished saw every day… much less an Alpha mated to the Elegida.“What are you thinking about, love?” Aries murmured, pressing a quick kiss to my lips before sitting up. His tone was casual, but his eyes stayed fixed on me, reading me like he always did.“Let me guess,” he said with a half-smile. “You’re already thinking about how to help the banished, aren’t you?”I chuckled softly. “How did you know?”“Because I know you.” He tightened his arms around me. “That, and I was thinking the exact same thing. I’ve barely been here a day, Rex, an

Aries POVFor a moment, all I could hear was the sound of my own heartbeat hammering in my ears. I wasn’t sure if it was because I had finally found Rex… or because of Zane’s words.Did he just say he was mated to my sister?“I’m sorry, did you just say you're mated to my sister?” I asked again, my voice low and disbelieving. My grip on Rex instinctively tightened as my eyes slid over to Rose. She looked away, a visible blush blooming across her cheeks, and that was all the confirmation I needed.“Yes, Alpha,” Zane said, straighter now, meeting my gaze without a flicker of fear.“Aries,” Rex said beside me, her voice quiet but firm—a warning laced in it, daring me not to make a scene in front of the entire banished tribe.I hadn’t planned to. So I turned away from Zane and looked at her instead. One look at Rex, and the tight knot that had begun to form inside me unraveled. The air was thick with tension. Everyone waited—watched—for my next move.I slowly loosened my hold on Rex and s

Aries’ POVThe light from the barrier was almost blinding, but in the next second, it faded just enough for me to feel what was on the other side, and by the moon, I felt her.Rex.The bond between us flared, pulling me toward her with such force that my knees nearly buckled. She was close, too close—for this to be another dead end.I drew in a sharp breath and took another step forward, ready to step into the light, but one of the Banished warriors moved in front of me, and the barrier closed instantly.“You can’t just walk in,” he said, hands raised in a placating gesture. “It’s not open to outsiders, Alpha.”He didn’t just keep me away from Rex. Not when I was this close.“I’m not an outsider,” I growled, impatience cutting through my words like a blade. The warrior hesitated, exchanging a glance with the man at the tree before turning back to me. “If the elders catch wind of this—”“I don’t care about the elders,” I snapped. “My mate is in there. Your Elegida.”At that, his arms d

  • Rejected mythical Luna   Shadows

Aries’ POVI’d spent the last twelve hours buried in maps, old documents, and every alliance record I could get my hands on. Nothing. Not a single thread to pull. My warriors had scoured the forest so many times I could trace its layout with my eyes closed, and still, nothing. The damage to the pack was visible everywhere I turned, but at least rebuilding had begun. As long as my people were alive, we could heal. Still, every brick laid, every broken wall fixed, only reminded me of who was missing.Rex.The bond between us still hummed faintly, stubbornly alive. It was the only thing keeping me grounded, the proof that she was still out there. I’d tear apart every inch of this world if that’s what it took to bring her back.I’d even tried to reach Alpha Levon, desperate to send word about the insult Ron had pulled using his name. No response. Ron’s network was tighter than I imagined, every move cloaked in shadow. And every failed attempt only fueled me more.I’d get them all back. Th
