The golden rays of the sun found their way into my room, and as though recognizing that this was a new chapter of my life, it smiled warmly upon my face.

As I rose from my bed, and as I took a conscious breath, I realized that something was different. The air was different. It was lighter and with every breeze, a faint smell of jasmine, encompassed by a stronger scent which I identified to be rose filled the air.

It was as though I was seated in a sea of flowers. My spirit felt calm as the delicious smell wafted through my nostrils. Without much convincing, I could tell that today was a good day, the beginning of a new chapter in my life.

As I got down from my bed, a knock came to the door. I was almost certain it was Kaelan, but that wasn't the case. Two maids had immediately walked in as though they have been watching me all night, and waiting for me to finally wake.
