I watched as her eyes widened expressively at the sight of the mansion before her. I didn't blame her, not only was it twice the size of the Nightfall Pack fortress, but it was also far more luxurious than her average house.

I smiled mildly at her expression before leading her into the main building. Upon arrival, the guards and servants were already situated at their designated posts and were making efforts to make everything about today perfect.

I wasn't cruel or anything, one might think differently because of the stiff atmosphere. I just liked to make sure that my dominance was established. Unlike ordinary werewolves who had a grading system that allowed the masses to judge their strengths, Lycans didn't care about that. There was nothing like Alpha, omega, beta, or whatever. The Lycan king was the pinnacle of authority, and everybody else was equal.

If I didn't exert my dominance and show off my strength as the prime being, one crazed individual might try to challenge me
