Emmy POV ‘Get to know him for the person he is, not the person you want him to be.’ Vincenzo’s words replay in my thoughts. I mean Alpha Vincenzo. Alpha. Ugh! I wish I knew a witch who could scrub him out of my mind for when we leave this place. He infuriates me. He thinks he’s so smart, and he clearly gets off on feeling like the guy in charge. Vincenzo POV I was informed that Emerald gave her room to Daphne. That makes sense- let the young she-wolf stay close to her brother. I don’t care either way. I still don’t like having guests in my house. And this Daphne girl is annoying; it’s like having two Vivianas around. She and Daphne just giggle and play music…very loudly. I like the quiet. Lucas is fine, but he thinks he’s slick. I have caught him checking out Viv on more than one occasion and I don’t like it. I’m ready to pluck his eyes out. Last night, I went down to the kitchen and was hoping to be surprised by my little mouse. I mean, she isn’t mine, but I enjoyed her being around. She is quiet and smart. Even with the Renz situation, she was willing to be honest with me which I appreciated. I can tell there is more to her than she shows. The quiet ones always have secrets. Vincenzo POV My wolf wanted to rip Lucas’ throat out. I had half a mind to let him. No woman deserves to be called such words. Emerald…Emmy…No, Emerald, she looked beautiful- stunning. I had never seen a woman with a figure like hers. Is Lucas insane?! I refuse to let those three ladies go to the club without protection, and with this semi, thanks to the little mouse, a little late-night relief is much needed. I’ll make sure Renz keeps an eye on them. I doubt they will allow Lucas near them tonight. Good. He’s been making the g****e eyes at Viv all week. At least, now she sees him for the weasel he is. Emmy POV Viviana pulled me and Daphne to the bar. “Okay, ladies! Tonight, we forget about stupid men, and we have fun!” Viviana waves the bartender over as she flips her hair over her shoulder. “Yes. I need a drink. My hand is still stinging. I can’t believe I slapped Renz. But, good! He deserves much worse after what he did to Lyle,” Daphne pouts as Viviana slides her a shot. “Daph…He didn’t know. Renz doesn’t make a good first impression…maybe not even a good second, or third impression. But he is a nice guy,” I say softly, holding my shot. “Renzy? He’s the sweetest! Emmy POV He is right behind me; mere inches from touching my back with his broad chest. I feel his breath beneath my ear. A wave of fear and excitement shocks me to my core, and I clench my thighs together. His words are all I can focus on. “Seems like I found the little mouse creeping around again…” His voice feels like a heavy blanket on a winter night. I want to be wrapped up in him. Vincenzo POV Emerald and I did things in that room that I have never done with any woman before. We talked. We spent two hours getting to know each other. Vincenzo POV “What are you doing here?!” Emerald screams as she clutches the towel tightly around her incredible body. I can’t help but let my eyes scan up and down her legs, stopping where the towel gaped open at her thighs. What I would give to be a droplet of water making its way down her entire body; from the top of her shoulder to the curve of her breast, down her waist, to her inner thigh. I lick my lips, and I feel my wolf wanting to press forward as well. He has been so restless around Emerald the last couple of days. “Vincenzo! What are you doing here?!” she asks me again and my attention snaps up to her eyes. I don’t miss her cleavage begging to escape from underneath that restrictive towel. “I was concerned when Lucas and Viviana didn’t hear from you this morning.
