Chapter 24 - Pack Member

Cole POV

We got back to the pack house and dropped Jessica’s things off in our room. She did not want to go through her things, as Carson had requested a meeting with us when we returned from shopping. I took Jessica’s hand as we left the room. I could tell she was still getting used to me touching her.

I did not want to push her, but I also did not want to give her a chance to ignore our bond. The sparks that flew between us affected her as much as they did me. “What do you think he wants?” Jessica asked, concern lacing her words. “I do not know, but we will know soon enough,” I replied to her with a smile.

I had a suspicion, but I would keep it to myself, just in case I was wrong. As we approached the offices, I stopped to show Jessica my office. “This is where I work out of,” I said as I slowly turned her towards the door across from mine, “and this will be your office,” I shared with her.

Maybe if she is connected and can sense the pack and her mate’s motives, that will help her trust?
