It was a marathon

Charlotte's pov

The first thing I noticed about the male voice entering the door was that it sounded very familiar, like one I had heard before. But I quickly dismissed it as a mix of emotions. Then the voice asked again, this time after closing the door,

"Can I come closer?" He sought my approval to approach me. The faint light at the far end cast a slight shadow on me, but it wasn't bright enough to reveal my face or the clothes I was wearing.

"Yes...s," I replied.

"Sweetheart, I was here about thirty minutes ago, and I thought you might not make it." Now he was very close, holding my fingers. I was about to say something when he gently placed his hand over my mouth and said,

"You don't need to apologize. Your memory was the strongest feeling I have ever had..." At this point, I couldn't hold back anymore. Deep down in my heart, I knew who was speaking, and joy overflowed as I said,

"Tyler?" When I called his name, he was shocked and immediately removed his hand from m
