Godfather's POV

Seated in my private study were men of different calibers. They all knew me as the godfather because I was the one who made most of them attain the wealth and affluence they enjoyed today.

I had called them here for answers, but they were just talking without telling me what I needed to hear. They called themselves directors, but they couldn't come up with a single solution!

"Stop!" I told them firmly. "I didn't bring you all here to chat and argue like children! I want answers and results, not excuses!" I yelled.

"Godfather, we have tried everything, but it all proved abortive. Mr. Gale is the biggest shareholder in the company, and getting him to step down as CEO is tough," Mr. Berkeley explained.

"Are you saying you can't combine your shares to force him to step down?" I countered.

Mr. Smith had always been the one reporting to me crucial matters that had to do with the company, faithfully following my instructions. He acted as my voice within the company.
