CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

“I do not hear anything.” Kale disrupted.

“Over there,” Justin said pointing at a large tree.

The tree was wide and big. Enough for three people to hide comfortably but the thought of that didn’t make Angela comfortable. There was something or someone there. Could be someone dangerous or a wild animal? 

Miles noticed she was getting terrified so he tried moving him and his horse closer to her but the horse didn’t budge. It was rooted to the ground. All the horses were.

They were about to move in, ready to ignore the strange sounds but muffled voices caught their attention back. 

This is bad. This is very bad. Angela thought worriedly. They had no weapons. None of them knew how to fight. It would be a calamity if they met trouble. 

Miles was worried. Not about himself but for Angela and the bandits. He would never forgive himself if anything happened to any of them while he was still alive.
