CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

She stood up from her golden throne, adjusting her sun-flower-colored dress. It was heavy to carry and took great effort but it was a small price to pay to look presentable and queenly. 

Yellow wasn’t what she should be wearing. She was meant to be wearing red because she was dangerous. 

She walked down the stairs of her throne podium. The two guards that had been standing like statues on the left and right side of the throne freed themselves from their statue position and followed the Queen. 

She used her yellow fan to give herself a little air. She checked if the crown was still on her head because she wasn’t feeling its weight. 

She was getting used to having a crown on her head. Five years of ruling and she was just getting used to having a crown on her head.
