It was then he realized he was holding flowers. The shyness set back in.  

He scratched the back of his neck and cleared his throat once again. 

“T-they are for-for you.”

She faintly blushed, licking her lips. 

“Really or are you trying to play a prank on me?”

“No no no, no prank at all. I am serious.”

She watched him closely and took the flowers from him. 

“They smell nice.”

“I got the best f-for you.” He needed to say what he had to. It was now or never. “C-Courtney there is something I-I have to tell you.”

She faced him looking away from the nice scenting flowers. 

“What is it?” she asked in a softer voice he could barely hear. 

He gulped. 

He did not know how he would put it.
