As James walked out of her room, Shoran began to cry uncontrollably. It hurt so much to see him walk away from her. Why had she taken her ring off? Why didn’t she tell him that she would come back? She felt more hurt emotionally than she did from her injuries and surgery. Dave got into his truck and drove to the nearest bar. He sat drowning his sorrows and decided that he would go scout up the surroundings at the big house in the woods. Dave had finished dressing and thought he heard something move in the woods. He turned around.“Hi Dave,” James said, and swung the baseball bat as hard as he could. James had only said that he needed help at the den and that it was urgent.“Damn it!” Malachi said as he walked into the cordoned off area of the basement and saw Dave’s body on the rack, his intestines lying on the floor beneath him.
