The next morning, three things happened.

Firstly, Alexander had announced as we were pulling on our travelling coats, that he was going to Bodmin Moor, and if the “Old crone” as he had taken to calling her, was nowhere to be found, we would be returning just as hastily as we left.

“I need your assurances Rosalie, that you will not fight me on the matter. There is every possibility that she will not be there. Perhaps no one at all will be there. And I need to know that you are not going to try and scour the whole of the English countryside looking for her.” He had announced with a serious expression and dark, lingering look that told me he was being deadly serious. “There are other ways to fight this. Other witches. Libraries that we are yet to even look at…”
