CHAPTER 5

ATHENA'S POINT OF VIEW

" oh Sienna Gonzalez '' I seethed. “ I know this is all you have ever wanted I your miserable life; to replace me as Sebastian's rightful wife but not to worry, congratulations, in a short time, you are gonna bear the title of Mrs Sienna Stone, legitimate daughter of the almighty stone's family” a bittersweet smile formed on my lips as those words left my mouth. 

I knew it was not going to be easy but this was what i wanted, this was the best decision I have ever made. 

" Stop saying nonsense, Athena” Sebastian groaned as he pinched the skin between his brows. 

" Don't!" I snapped, turning to face him as my eyes burned with fury. “ Don't you dare tell me that I'm saying nonsense, Sebastian, you don't have the right so I would advise you to watch your words!" 

Sebastian didn't reply to my outburst, his expression remained cold and unchanging as he lifted the printed picture up and stared at it once again.

I glanced at Sienna, she shifted her gaze to Sebastian and I could see the fear and desperation in her eyes. 

“ Sebastian" she called with a pitiful voice, her lower lips trembling to make her act more realistic. “ Don't.. don't tell me you believed Athena.  How..how can I do such a thing, Sebastian?! I was on the sick bed struggling for my life the whole time, how then would I be able to even think of doing such a thing, huh?!” 

Sebastian looked up at her with a slight frown on his face, he didn't seem to believe her. 

Knowing that her chances of getting out of the mess she made was thin, she bursted out crying so pitifully. “ Sebastian…so you don't believe me, huh?” 

" I didn't say that,” Sebastian said. 

“ But your action says it all!" She said again with a loud cry as she held her cheek which I had slapped. “ Sebastian, I..I don't want to be a third party in your marriage, I don't want to be the reason Athena divorces you, and if she was forced to donate plasma to me then I don't need them, I would only accept them if she voluntarily offers to donate plasma to me" 

Just then, the doctor interrupted. “ President Sebastian, Miss Sienna here is in a very critical situation, she needs the plasma as soon as possible, please before her situation worsen” 

" Then what are we waiting for?!” Sebastian hollered as he crumpled the printed picture and glared at me evilly, his eyes blazing red with fury. 

" I can't believe you are going to this level just because of a stupid picture!” He roared, tossing the crumpled paper to the other side of the room. His action made me flinch a little bit but almost immediately, I regained my composed demeanor and stared at him with my chin held up high, matching his aura. 

“ You really surprised me, Athena" Sebastian lowered his voice as he shook his head in disappointment. I felt disgusted with his actions, after all he had done to me he still had the nerve to play the victim here! 

“ Let's just start the operation already" he said, gesturing to the doctor to begin. 

“ Sebastian you heard what I said, I don't want to be the reason you divorce Athena, please if she was forced to do this then I don't want!" Sienna saud innocently, pursing her lips into a pout. 

“ Nonsense!" Sebastian hollered. " Doctor, begin the operation immediately!”

“ Ma'am" the doctor said, gesturing for me to go out with the nurses that were already waiting for me. 

" Sienna…Sienna" I hummed as I turned to face her with a smirk. “ Why are you such a drama queen? Oh well.. I think it's genetic. Anyways, congratulations on getting what you've already wanted” with that, I turned and followed the doctor out of the room. 

We stopped in front of another ward before entering. “ Ma'am please change into this” a nurse said as she handed a hospital outfit over to me. 

Quietly, I took it from her and put it on. 

After about four hours, the surgery was finally over and thankfully, it was successful. 

Fortunately, there were no nurses in my ward so I didn't wait around and immediately changed back into my clothes before heading into Sienna's ward. 

“ Sebastian" I called coldly as I walked into the room. “ Let's get going to the lawyer's office, don't worry, everything is already taken care of” 

" Ma'am you aren't supposed to be on your feet yet!” A nurse said with worry as she rushed over to me. 

I let out a brief smile. " Don't worry, I'm already used to it” 

" Let's go, '' I said again as I spun my heels and started walking out of the ward, but not before catching a glimpse of a sinister grin on Sienna's face. But, I couldn't care less. 

I didn't have to wait so much outside because Sebastian met up with me almost immediately after I got out. 

“ Since you've already made up your mind I'm not gonna say anything" Sebastian said but I didn't respond to him as I kept walking towards the car. 

After some minutes of driving, we finally arrived at my lawyer's office andi immediately got down, Sebastian following me behind. 

Just as I opened the door and walked in, the divorce papers were already arranged neatly on the table. 

 “ Good day sir" I greeted with no emotions in my voice as I sat, took a seat, picked up a pen before skimming through the documents briefly. 

After I had confirmed that it was okay, I signed and shifted it to Sebastian. 

“ Your turn," I said. 

With a heavy sigh, Sebastian took it from me and signed too. “ I Sebastian Stone, reject you, Athena Montgomery as my mate and Luna of my pack, the nightwalker pack" he finally said those words I was waiting for him to say. Although I felt pain that I had been rejected by my mate, I also felt relieved.

“ I, Athena Montgomery accept your rejection” I said with a smirk as I stared into his eyes. “See you never, Sebastian”

**FOUR YEARS LATER**

The plane touched down with a jolt, and I let out a breath I hadn't realized I'd been holding. 

I stood up, carrying myself with poise and elegance, my suitcase in hand. As I walked down the aisle of the plane, I felt every eye on me. I was dressed in a black silk dress that skimmed my curves, cinched at the waist with a gold belt. 

"Ma'am!" My secretary yelled as she came running up to me. "Welcome back! You're needed immediately, there have been so many calls!"

After my divorce from Sebastian, I had left the country and become a successful jewelry designer, so I was returning to a place I dreaded for business purposes. 

“ Can't that wait?" I asked with a sigh.

“ No ma'am, we have a very important client, you wouldn't believe who it is!" She squealed with delight as she handed me a business card. 

I took it from her and read the content. 

“ Stone's group of companies" I read with a smirk dancing on my lips. “ At last,we meet again” 

"They are our biggest client yet, and from the order we received, they are requesting for custom made products. I explained to the Jewelers that you would handle this personally." My secretary explained.

I let out an exasperated sigh that did not hide my disappointment. It was obvious from my expression that I did not share her excitement, nonetheless they had already issued a part payment for the job and I was already here.

"Did you set an appointment?" I asked .

"Yes Ma'am, you have a meeting set for 3pm." Came her excited response.

It was obvious that the Stone family reputation had grown over the years, now they needed customized jewelry. "Ha" I scoffed underneath my breath."what could possibly be the occasion" I wondered.

I looked at my watch, it read 2:30pm on the dot.

"Well, we better be on our way then" I said to her and she nodded.

“ Stone's group of companies" I read with a smirk dancing on my lips. “ At last,we meet again”
