Sequels: Pearl & Ely 2

"Please go back. My sister doesn't want to see you." Eva's tone was a bit harsh, and she stood at the door, blocking Ely's entry.

"Eva, please let me in. I have something to say to Pearl," Ely implored Eva. He's obviously not sleeping well, and he's got a little stubble on his chin.

Eva, always soft and gentle, looked at Ely, who had taken care of her since childhood, and said angrily, "Don't come looking for my sister! I've never seen her so sad. She's been locked in her room for three days!"

Hearing the news, Ely became even more worried. "I was wrong. I want to apologize to her."

Ely steps forward, trying to get into the house, but Eva refuses to step aside. "I would never let you in today."

Eva turned and ran into the house, locking the door behind her.

Ely stood there, looking up at the window in Pearl's room.

Her room was dark.

What's she doing? Is she crying?

Ely tries to break in again, but Ulric calls out behind him, "You're not seeing her today. Please go home."

Ely turned.
