RHONDA

I was just as shocked as he was.

I never intended to show him the depth of my rage. At least not yet. I needed to finalize every plan before he even noticed.

“Rhonda?” he called, confused, with his palm pressed to his face.

“I—” I sneezed violently, my body reacting instantly to the allergen in his hands. “I—”

He stepped closer to me, making everything even worse. Now, I couldn’t stop sneezing, and that still didn’t fucking remind him of my allergy to lilies.

“Alpha!” one of the omegas suddenly exclaimed, rushing forward and snatching the bouquet from his hands. “She’s allergic to lilies!”

The omega quickly carried the flowers away.

I stood frozen, fury burning in my chest. Even someone who barely knew me remembered my allergy. Yet the man I had loved, trusted, and married for years couldn’t recall something so basic. Something that had nearly killed me once.

After giving birth to Leo, one of the other Alpha wives had visited me with a bouquet of lilies. My body reacted violently. My immune system, still weak from childbirth, went into shock. I’d nearly died that day and had been rushed to the ICU. Everyone in the pack had learned about my allergy then.

Theodore was there through it all. I had even told him about it prior to our marriage. But he never remembered any details about me.

“You are allergic to lilies?” His voice snapped me back to reality.

I glared at him. “Yes, Theodore!”

“Is that why you slapped me?” His brows furrowed.

I was about to apologize for that when he continued, “It was my fault. I am really sorry. You must have been in so much shock you couldn’t control yourself. I’m sorry, baby.”

He tried to hold me, but I stepped back.

His brows furrowed in confusion.

“Touching me with the same hands would irritate my skin,” I said quickly.

Without waiting for a response, I turned around and walked away. Lord knew I wouldn’t have been able to hold myself back from cussing the cheating cunt if I had stayed a minute longer.

“I’ll make it up to you, baby!” he called after me.

But I didn’t respond.

As I walked away, the realization hit me again. How blind I had been all these years. The signs had always been there. I had just chosen to ignore them, convincing myself things would get better. That one day, we’d become the loving couple I’d always dreamed of.

How foolish I had been.

I got up early the following day and prepared for the day. Today, I was going to begin the process of ruining Theodore.

It would come as a shock to him when he found out that I wasn’t the useless, naive Luna he always thought I was.

Just recently, I handed him another groundbreaking prototype. One that was set to earn him billions. He didn’t deserve it. I’d find a way to take it and give it to someone more deserving.

He had no idea what was coming.

I stood in front of the mirror, studying my reflection. The emerald green suede dress hugged my body perfectly, accentuating every curve. My hair was pulled into a sleek ponytail, and a bold red lip completed the look.

Just the right look to ruin one’s husband with.

Oh, sorry. Ex-husband. He just didn’t know that yet.

I walked gracefully out of my room and down to the parking lot, where my driver was already waiting for me.

“Rhonda!” His annoying voice called out as I approached the car.

Taking a heavy breath, I slowly turned to look at him. “Yes?”

Theodore approached me with a bright smile, holding up a yellow dress. The sight of it made my stomach twist.

“Remember I said I would make it up to you? I thought you’d like this,” he said proudly. “It’s one of the limited pieces by Luan Huan. Cost me a fortune, but you’re worth it.”

“Mom hates yellow!” Leo’s voice suddenly sounded from behind him.

“Really?” Theodore frowned as he stared at the dress. “I thought this would look good on you.”

I ignored him and shifted my attention to my pup, a sweet smile on my face.

“Leo, darling. Ready for school?”

“Yes,” he murmured as he walked past me. “I’m sad that Mommy is too busy to take me today.” He glanced at the maid following him. “Now I’m stuck with her.”

“I never said I was too busy, darling.” I hurried after him and crouched beside him. I gently caressed his cheeks. “I could always take you to school. Work can wait.”

He looked at me with confusion on his small face, as if I were speaking gibberish. “Not you. I’m talking about my real mommy.”

“But I am your real mommy. I gave birth to you.”

He shook his head and walked away.

I flicked my gaze at Theodore with rage. “What is that about? Why is our son calling your—” I stopped myself. I swallowed. “Why is he calling his nanny his real mother?”

I wouldn’t stand by and watch another woman assume the role of my precious son’s mother. I had suffered too much to bring him into this world to allow that.

“Rhonda…” He took a step closer, a look I couldn’t quite read crossing his face. “There’s something you need to know.”

“What?” I folded my arms over my chest and raised a brow. “You want a divorce?”

“What? No!” he replied sharply. “Why would you even think that? No. Never.”

Oh, one would think he was a loving and faithful husband with the way he spoke.

An omega walked past, and he handed her the dress to take to his bedroom.

I raised a questioning brow. “Then what did you want to say?”

“It’s about Leo. He… he… he…” Whatever he wanted to say was too heavy on his tongue, and he stammered.

“What?” I urged.

He sighed heavily and shook his head. “Nothing. I was going to say nothing. I’m sorry about messing up our anniversary gift. I promise to make it up to you. For real this time.”

He didn’t even wait for a response before turning around and walking back inside.

I couldn’t get our interaction out of my head. He clearly wanted to say something about Leo but held back for reasons I didn’t know.

I would get to the root of it.

But first, I had to find the billion-dollar prototype and make it useless to him.

At the company’s server room, I logged into the server and searched for the prototype, ready to ruin it all for him.

But my heart dropped into my stomach when I realized the password had been changed, and the only person with access to it was Theodore.

THEODOREA highly anticipated notification popped on my phone’s screen within an hour. The very talented Seven had fixed the problem and given me back the project I thought I had lost.Relief flooded through me, and a wide grin spread across my face. “Yes!” I exclaimed, making a power gesture. “Yes!”Whoever Seven was, they were too good at what they did. I had tried so many times to uncover their identity, but to no avail. I really wanted to know who this guardian angel was. Everything I owned, I owed to them.Pushing those thoughts aside, I immediately pressed the intercom on my desk.“Come to my office. Now,” I said firmly.Chloe Jenkins, my secretary of about two years, walked in shortly after. She was a redhead, with eyes as green as the forest. She was dressed in a fitted black corporate dress with a touch of white at the collar.“Alpha,” she bowed slightly as she walked in.“Send an email to the government’s tech department,” I instructed. “It’s time we launch the project.”Her

THEODOREI fixed Malcolm Hitler with a deadly glare, silently promising him that this was far from over, before storming out of the apartment complex. My jaw was clenched so tight it hurt, and my fists were curled at my sides as I marched toward my car.James, the tech director, met me at the lobby when I arrived at the company’s tower. He was about forty years old and had a short stature.“What happened? Give me details,” I groaned as I quickly walked toward the elevator, with him trying to catch up behind me.The company had suffered far too many setbacks in recent months, and that project was my only hope. The government would without a doubt sign a contract worth billions of dollars with DTech if we pitched the project to them. That contract would help us get back on track.I couldn’t lose that project.“I don’t know...” he began to say as we stepped into the elevator.“What do you mean you do not know?” I growled, grabbing him by the collar and yanking him closer. “You are the te

RHONDA“My—my—my talent?” I stammered, my voice faltering as countless thoughts raced through my mind.“Yes, Rhonda,” Malcolm said gently. “I remember how intelligent and talented you were back in high school. You coded purely for the joy of it, building websites at such a young age. One can only imagine how much you’ve improved now at thirty-one.”Admiration shone clearly in his eyes as he continued. “You inspired me, you know. You inspired me to become who I am today. I admired you so much that I learned how to code after I left Westhaven City.”My mouth parted as I listened to him talk. Before I could reply, he continued, “and that is why I owe it to you to help you break from his shackles. When you told me that you were married to an Alpha and had a pup, I did my research. At first, it was just curiosity. But then I found out from trusted sources…” He hesitated. “How badly he treats you.”He inhaled sharply, looking me straight in the eyes. “Rhonda, you are smart and intelligent.

RHONDA“Me?” I leaned forward, steepling my fingers together as I studied the faces around the table. “Am I that special?”“Uhm…” Theodore cleared his throat, visibly uncomfortable. “We were, uhm… just talking about the new project that’s about to be launched.”“What about it?” I lifted a brow, fully interested in whatever they had to say about what I built, “and how am I linked to it?”“The following days after launching it would be really tasking, and I would need an assistant who would make everything easier for me, including decision making.”“Hm.” I breathed, intrigued at how he just blatantly called me stupid before his staff.“No, no. Do not get me wrong,” he quickly added. “I do not mean it the way that you think I do. We just need someone with at least basic knowledge in tech to carry out the task.”“And who says I’m naive in that aspect?” I raised a brow. “I know one or two things about tech.”“Rhonda,” he called flatly, looking at me with furrowed brows. “You do not have to

RHONDA“Mother, it wasn’t her fault,” Theodore said quickly, stepping forward. “Rhonda would never intentionally embarrass me like that in public.”“But she did,” Agatha snapped sharply, her eyes blazing with contempt as she pointed at me. “And that’s not the only reason I’m chasing her away. She adds no value to this pack. She is useless and unworthy of being Luna!”Her harsh gaze softened immediately as she turned to Layla. Her lips curved into a pleased smile. “But this damsel right here,” she continued, pulling Layla closer, “is everything a Luna should be. She’s kind. She’s loyal.” Her eyes flicked back to me with open disdain. “And she’s not barren.”“I am not barren!” I groaned through clenched teeth. “The child I suffered to bring into this world is out there somewhere, and I will find him!”“Yes, mother. She’s not barren. I will find our pup. I promise. So please do not make her feel bad,” Theodore wrapped his arm around my shoulder and smiled at me. “Don’t be sad. I’ll alway

A hard frown twisted his face as he listened.“What?” he barked suddenly. “Rush her to
