Thea stumbled into the house, tossing her bag onto a nearby chair before sinking onto the plush sofa.

She was on the phone with Daisy, she needed to tell someone what happened! Hell, she couldn't afford to laugh at the situation alone!

“My goodness! The look on her face! I would kill to see the damned look on her face!” Daisy whined.

“It was just as expected, trust me. She looked like she saw a ghost. She was so desperate for me to leave.”

Daisy burst into laughter. “Ot os just a confirmation of what Clara told us! Posy has been messing up with the company. Have you seen the stock market recently? Balmero isn't even in the top ten right now. Nor the top twenty.”

Thea chuckled. “I thought Posy wanted to do a better job than I was.”

“Oh. She did a better job, trust me. She did so great that the company is falling horribly.”

Thea laughed. “If that's the case, she's doing great I guess.”

“Tell me what exactly happened. How, where. Everything! A summary isn't going to cut it.”

Thea started, her voice a low conspiratorial whisper. "I went to Cake Stars, just as Clara said, and I found her there, with the decorator, looking completely overwhelmed. I just... I walked in and told her I was there to help. As her maid of honor."

Daisy let out a loud gasp. "No! You didn't!"

"Oh, I did," Thea said, her smile widening. "She was completely stunned. She had no choice but to agree. I told her I would help her with the wedding, and she looked like she wanted to murder me."

"I am so proud of you, Thea! You're finally standing up for yourself. You're finally taking back control. This is the best news I've heard all day!"

"I know, right?" Thea said, a sense of satisfaction washing over her. "She's completely on her toes now. I know she's trying to figure out how to get rid of me.”

“Daisy couldn't possibly be so meticulous. She's going to make a mistake soon, and that would be your gateway.”

Thea nods. “We just have to wait for that opening.”

“And I know that the opening is coming in very, very soon! Hey, I've got to go. I have a few things to take care of at the cafe. I'll call you later okay?”

“Alright.”

She ended the call, and her mind went straight to another problem she'd have to address: Mr Seth Blackwood!

She picked up her bag and headed straight for his library. She knew exactly where he would be by this time of the day.

Thea made her way up the stairs and straight to his library. She pushed the door open, not bothering to knock, she wasn't here for a quick chit chat.

Seth was sitting behind his desk, a book in his hand, his eyes fixed on the pages. He looked completely at ease, as if he had been waiting for her all along.

Thea felt a sudden wave of annoyance. He had a lot to answer for, and she was not going to let him get away with it. She walked over to him, her hands on her hips.

“Good afternoon to you too.”

"We need to talk," she said, her voice firm.

Seth closed his book, placing it on the desk almost immediately. He looked at her, his expression unreadable. "I'm listening."

Gosh, she hates how collected he always seems every bloody time!

"The security," Thea began, her voice rising in frustration. "What is with the dozen men you hired? I can't go anywhere without them following me. I can't even go to the restroom without a guard waiting outside! It's completely unnecessary!"

Seth went silent and then got on his feet, his hand in his pocket. “Runes was at your school last week and he tried to kidnap you.”

"But a dozen men? At my school? It's excessive! It's... It's a spectacle! I don't want people to think I have a problem with someone!" she retorted.

His hand instinctively brushed the stray strand of hair away from her face, his eyes gentle.

"I don't care what people think," he said, his voice flat. "I care about your safety. And if a dozen men are what it takes to keep you safe, then a dozen men it will be. Would you like me to hire more?"

Thea’s mouth fell open, a look of pure shock on her face. How could he have completely missed her point?!

"More?!” She choked.

“I should hire more..” Seth reached for his phone.

Horrified, Thea scrambled towards the table to grab his phone before he did but she wasn't fast enough. She ended up lying chest down on the desk with Seth right behind her.

He smirked. “ I see what this is..”

Thea glanced at him, confused. Then it came flooding back in. The last time she was here, something… steamy happened.

Before she could get up, Seth had his palm down on her waist, holding her in place. “If I remember correctly, you seemed to like backshots.”

Thea bit her lip, he knew way too much and it annoyed her greatly! “When did I?" She snapped.

His grip around her waist tightened. “I’m good at juggling back memories, you know?” He moved closer, hell she could feel him hard on her butt.

She sighed, he was right. She loved it. She couldn't even bring herself to deny it.

He leaned closer, dialling a number on his phone. Thea held back a gasp, the clothes weren't a good barrier at this point. She could feel everything down there.

“Ethan? Yes. About Thea's security detail..”

“Seth! Don't!" She snapped as she tried to move but he only leaned closer and closer, earning a gasp from Thea. Damn, it feels so good.

He sent a glance her way but she knew he wasn't going to listen. “Yes. I was thinking we could..”

His words travelled off. Thea was grinding in on him. Slow but small torturous twirl of her waist around his dick, a movement that seemed to catch him off guard.

“Sir?” Ethan asked from the other end of the phone, echoing throughout the room.

“What are you doing?” Seth asked, his voice dangerously low as he watched her waist move slowly.

“Sir?” Ethan asked.

Seth glanced at his phone. “Not you.”

“Distracting you from hiring more security? You left me no choice!” She muttered.

He couldn't agree with it, it was working. Soon, the movements got a little faster, leaving Seth in shock at just how crazy this was making him feel.

“Sor?”

“I'll call you back.” Seth ended the call, his eyes fixed on Thea's little teasing dance. He tried to steady his breath but damn, it was almost impossible.

“It worked uhm?” Thea smirked.

Seth wasn't holding her down anymore and she managed to get up, sitting down on the table. Seth leaned his hands on either side of her thigh, his head down, caging her.

“I know you're worried about Runes showing up, but ten guards are intrusive,” Thea said, folding her arms across her chest and crossing her legs.

She tried to push the thought away, ignoring the river running between her legs.

His eyes finally met hers, hungry.

"I told you I would," he said, his voice low and serious. "I told you at the waterfall that I would be intruding on a lot of things. And that I would do whatever I can to keep you safe.” He said, leading closer to her.

His lips hover over hers before finally kissing her, his hand running down her back.

He meets her gaze again. "I will be intruding on your life, your work, your space, your everything. You are my wife. And your safety is my responsibility."

Before she could argue, took her lips in his again. Hungry and desperate to feel her.

"You're impossible," she muttered against his lips.

He smirked. "I've been told."

His lips trailed down her collarbone, down to her chest. He pulled her top over her head and went straight for her nipples, outlining her nipples with his tongue, slowly and teasing just like she had done to him earlier.

Thea reached back, her eyes swinging shut in pleasure.

“You're moving in with me.” He said against one nipple.

Despite how blank her head was, Thea met his gaze, breathless. What did he just say? “What?”

Seth pulled away but his hands roamed over her thighs under her skirt, slightly pulling it up to her waist…

"The maids moved your things to my quarters already." he said simply, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. "From now on, you'll be sleeping there. With me."

Her heart skipped a beat, is he being serious? He wants them together? In the same room?

“The contract…”

"You're my wife. We should be sleeping together.”

Thea met his gaze, silent. Of course his confession at the waterfall was living rent free in her head but this? She wasn't expecting it at all.

Before she could answer him, his fingers found her warmth, earning the one moans she's been fighting to keep at bay.

“You're so wet..” he muttered, his eyes darkened.

His heart pounded in his chest as she adjusted his tie, eyes staring down at her with more fear than she'd ever since in his eyes. She met his gaze, a smile on her lips. “What?” “I didn't know you were this..brave.” Thea chuckled. “There’s more to me than you know. And you're going to spend forever finding out.” “Is that a deal?” He smiled and she nodded, eyes glowing. The morning light fell softly across the kitchen, painting the marble counter in shades of gold. Thea was standing right in front of Seth, eyes fixed on his suit and then his tie before giving a satisfied nod. “You're good to go.” Seth glanced at the standing mirror behind her, crisp shirt, dark tie, hair pulled neatly back. He looked way better than he did weeks back. “I don’t have to go in today,” he said without meeting her gaze. She smiled faintly. “If you don't, we will never get this over with."Seth’s eyes met hers, calm but shadowed. “I just need to make sure everything stays in place. The police have

The first thing that hit him that morning wasn’t the light, it was the silence. The house felt too still, too quiet. The kind of calm that only came after a storm had exhausted itself.
