Chapter 68

I made sure that I had some cover in the bushes as I walked closer to the shack that I suspected Jade to be in. There was no car or any sort of vehicle parked around there so it was likely that Katara and Chad were not there.

Though I had healed myself to some extent, I still was not totally healed. And that meant I was still in a world of pain, just not as much as before. I ran my hands through my hair and closed the distance between the shack and me.

The door was locked, unlike the way mine was. If I had enough strength, I would have been able to wolf out and destroy the lock and a simple hit, but I could not. I had to find another way.

I wiggled the lock on the door and sure enough, it was a strong one. I winced as a sharp stabbing pain rang around my rib area. I did not know what it was and I was not a doctor, so the best thing to do was to ignore it until I had gotten Jade the help he needed.
