Alberta's POV

"Julius, did you hear that? The sound of the gun, does that mean we are going to be killed? But my brother said that he wouldn't, what is happening?"

" Your brother this…your brother that, how can you still call someone who is that heartless your brother, someone who joined Zeeb to kill our child, our only heir, how exactly?''

I didn't know what answer I was going to give, I was drained, all of my strength seemed to have been sapped and I couldn't think properly. The fact that I was locked in here didn't help matters, all of the maids who came in here with our food kept saying one thing. That the mansion was devoid of humans as most people had been driven away. What were they trying to achieve by that?

First, I couldn't bring myself to cry anymore, I had cried ceaselessly until I couldn't anymore, it had been months since Aurora went missing and my life had become dark, just the way it was before she left and now, I was in here anticipating death with the man I love.
