Aurora POV

The office goes silent as all four of my mates turn to look at me. “What do I have, something on my face?” I ask, wiping my cheek mindlessly. They all exchange a look that makes my stomach twist. “No kitten, you look perfect,” Sabastian tells me and I feel my lungs unlock a smidge but still don’t feel like I can breathe fully. “Okay then, what is with the looks?” I demand as they do it again. Caleb rubs his chin as he takes a step towards me, pulling my attention to only him.

“We have been talking and whilst any of us are happy to be the one to send the message, we believe it will have more of any impact coming from you.” I swallow past the lump that has lodged in my throat. My brain short circuits as I try to remember how to breathe. I can’t do that. “What?” I manage slightly breathlessly. “I -” my mouth goes dry. The thought of even saying the words out loud feels too real. How can I tell the world there is a threat to my son and I need the other alpha’s help?
