LOGINIt was the best day ever for Helena, and she felt like she had found a new hope in the middle of the darkness. Although she had no idea what kind of practices she would be able to go through during her stay at the camp, she was bracing for a positive outcome out of it and promised herself she would do great.
“I am Bruno. I will be your personal teacher while you are in the camp,” the tan-skinned man with jet-black hair said gently with a sweet smile on his lips.
Helena somehow remembered Darren because of his smile and gentleness. She was clearly uncomfortable, and she wanted to ask Louis if he could assign a woman to her instead, but she didn’t want to cause more burden and make Bruno feel like she was disgusted by him.
It was just her past heavily intruding that she couldn’t help but feel a little bit uncomfortable. But she was just too desperate to learn that she is willing to adapt to new things, even if it is out of her fear.
“In the camp, we are actually classified into three. There are the Class A, which are the people who are good in close combat, such as martial arts, while Class B are the people who can’t win in close combat but could pin their opponent down even if they were far through hunting, which includes archery. And lastly, Class C, although it might sound like the bottom, who’s weak in both A and B, these people are good at critical thinking that they could outsmart their opponent by using their brain, which could be a heavy weapon to manipulate their enemy,” Bruno explained while he is now starting to tour Helena around for her classes to attend to test her skill.
She was quite worried. There were already a lot of things that were running through her mind, and she was thinking about what would happen if she couldn’t ace one at least.
Knowing Helena’s body came from a five-year coma and her personally not knowing how to use archery or even use critical thinking during danger that resulted in her death, she is now praying that she would get one at least.
“But I have no experience in three of them,” she complained nervously.
Bruno smiled at her. “Don’t worry, your classification will only be determined once your classes are done. You would be attending your different subjects first that require training, and after that, you would eventually determine which class you specifically belong to.”
Helena was somehow at ease to know that she would not immediately get tested because she knew that she would fail the three.
Other than that, she was introduced to the people in the camp who were part of the pack, and she was amazed at how there were teens involved and they were already strong and ready for big fights.
She started socializing as well, as she didn’t want to cage herself from knowing the others and she immediately gained friends.
She was too hesitant in the first place because she was afraid they were just like Ingrid, but she was doing her best to give them the benefit of the doubt that they were all different from her.
Meanwhile, Louis was just casually talking to the other men and was asking for things, hearing their reports, and letting Helena explore the camp on her own with the others.
“When is the wedding, Alpha Louis?” one of the men asked while they grinned at him.
Louis couldn’t answer it because clearly, it wasn’t on his mind yet.
“I only accepted her because of my grandpa’s request. Nothing more,” he said, shrugging about it as he sipped on his wine served by one of them.
“She is so pretty. It’s impossible that you don’t want a woman like her,” one of them said.
Louis doesn’t really see Helena based on how everyone views her the first time you see her. Sure, she is very angelic, and her beauty is beyond the earth—it’s ethereal, but at the back of his mind, he already has someone in mind when it comes to beauty—and that woman always comes first in his mind.
And he still doesn’t lose hope. He is willing to throw everything away if the woman comes back and tells him to give up everything just for her.
“Don’t you want to give her another teacher? You know Bruno might be the best of the best in this camp, but his playboy ass isn’t a joke. He might like her…”
“There is no way he would never like her, Alpha Louis. You know Bruno, he is willing to set his eyes on the woman no matter how complicated it would be.”
Louis just shrugged about it, feeling no emotion for their theories as she looked at Helena, who was now happily conversing with Bruno.
He wasn’t attracted. It was clear as crystal eyes in him that the only reason he was keeping her beside him was because of the deal and because he didn’t want to give his grandfather a heart attack if he rejected his last wish.
He might be doing too much for him, but he also thinks of the connection they would get once the Ashers were part of their empire. Knowing how powerful they were too in Emerald Ville, choosing to follow the tradition of the family isn’t hard for Louis.
“When are we coming back to the camp? ”Helena asked as soon as they were now heading back to the mansion.
“You wanted to live there?” He offered.
Helena nodded without hesitation. “Yes. I would love to. I got friends, and they seemed so nice to me. Other than that, Bruno promised me that he would be my personal teacher too to help me determine my classification.”
Louis could feel her excitement ruling over her. He did not expect that she would be this excited and happy.
“Always remember that attending your classes would not be that easy. It isn’t just a playground for whoever gets the nicest toy. It is designed as a battlefield to prepare you for bigger dangers in the future,” Louis said, which made Helena swallow a bit.
She knew she would give her best and would never falter, but somehow what Louis said scared her a bit. It was like reminding her over and over that she should risk her life not just for the goal she wants to establish.
But what Louis was bothered the most was the fact that Helena did not even hesitate to agree to his sarcastic remark about living in the camp. He doesn’t know if it’s funny or if it was giving him a different kind of offense.
“You don’t like living in my mansion?” He asked curiously.
“Oh, I actually like it, but I’m used to the mansion since my family also has one, and maybe I find the camp so refreshing, cool, and new to me. I would also meet a lot of people and friends, and I could be able to train since I wanted to learn new things too.”
He could feel her desperation to achieve something that she couldn’t yet. He could feel the thirst to just win something she wanted for an apology to her past.
Although Helena wasn’t comfortable sharing things with him yet, he could now feel how it might be so heavy for Helena to carry it out all alone that she finds comfort in doing something that would help her growth instead.
And as soon as they came home, it was the first thing Helena blurted out to Anna—how she could not wait to go back and attend her classes. She is just too happy and too excited that even Anna can also feel her happiness about it.
“I also met a lot of friends who would also train with me soon so we would know our classification,” she ranted while Anna was helping her to arrange her room, despite the fact that the fact that it wasn’t that dirty at all.
“I could really see that you had fun there, Miss Helena. For sure, in no time, you would gain so many friends in the circle.”
It was one of the few things Helena would also achieve since she always wanted a lot of friends in the past and yet she barely had one, and how unlucky of her that it was Ingrid.
But she was hopeful that the other days would be great for her while watching Anna pack her things on her next trip to go to the camp and start her own sessions too.
“You brought all of your things. How many days were you planning to be there?” Louis asked who was beside her.
Louis was really shocked that she decided to bring clothes, and she wasn’t kidding about staying in the camp.
“Yes. I needed to concentrate on my subjects there, and it is inconvenient for me to travel regularly.”
Louis looked at her with an unreadable expression. But despite how it was already roaring in his head, he doesn’t want to ruin what she wanted for herself too because he knows it’s somehow confronting the past she couldn’t utter easily.
“And don’t you like that? I would be in the camp, and you won’t hear my voice in the house,” Helena joked around.
“The mansion is also your home. So I don’t mind if you were loud in my house.“
As soon as the girls heard that Alpha Louis had visited, they immediately grinned at Helena, stood up as soon as the teacher went out to talk to him, and started shaking her.“He is here! Oh my god? What could be the possible reason for that?” The girls asked as they crowded her, pulling the other chairs to sit in front of her.The other students were only looking at them for being so chaotic, but at the same time they found it cute that Helena was getting friends. They were all respecting her, and they found her very pretty as well.“He is probably here for another reason?” She reasoned, but the girls hyped her up even more.“Of course not, Helena! Think about it thoroughly. You said that he has always been busy, and yet, now that you were here and he could freely do everything without worrying about you coming home for dinner, here he is, visiting you so early!” Alice hissed, like all of those she is calculating in her head make sense.“Helena, he is now starting to show signals! Th
Helena had so much fun with the pottery that she could already picture out her days in the camp with her newfound friend. She wants to be with them. It was so new to her, and she couldn’t believe that socializing would bring her so much joy. When her first night was slowly approaching, during dinner, the girls went into her room to take the food the cook had cooked for her. She was so delighted that she was treated so well that she invited them to eat with her.“Wow. I didn’t know that there was food that tasted like this. It’s so delicious,” Alice pointed out while they were all squatting at a round table in front of the fireplace, while the snow could be seen pouring through the window. They were wearing ordinary clothes, while it was only Helena who was wearing sweaters.“Is Alpha Louis fine if you will be here for how many days?” Rina asked while shoving food in her mouth.Helena nodded. “I think so. Besides, he is also busy, and he only comes home at night so we can eat dinner to
On the first day that Helena was in the camp, she gained friends right away, like it wasn’t easy to socialize since everyone knows her for being not just an Asher but also as Alpha Louis’ mate.“I’m really shocked. This is the first time he brought a woman here. We thought you were the one whom he was talking about, but maybe he really fell for you to change his mind and introduce you to us instead,” Mica said, also a wolf.“I think he isn’t in love with me. We just have the same reason why we accepted the arrangement since I wanted to help our family and he wanted to grant his grandpa’s wish, which he said,” she explained since she doesn’t want to make too much fuss about it.“Oh! But maybe, later on, you two would develop feelings. It really happens in arrangements, and soon enough, you two might just accept each other.”Helena couldn’t smile. She doesn’t know how to respond to it since her goal is just to get the justice she deserves.“But isn’t it easy to just fall in love with Al
Helena didn’t expect Louis to say those words like he was already accepting her in his house, and he was now slowly getting used to her presence that he didn’t mind her noise. But knowing that Louis was barely in the mansion, she could not do anything there, unlike in the camp, that would help her a lot of things. She was planning for 3 nights at least to experience what it is like to live there, since it wasn’t just built for identifying what classification you are, but it was also for socializing more. She wanted to make friends and slowly build her own battalion. It was what was circulating around her mind, knowing that her past self was so caged and isolated because the people around her made her feel like they were enough in her life and she didn’t need anyone anymore. But that was what she regretted the most—that she let them cage her. She lets them control her life and she always agrees with them because she believes in them, she trusts them, and that’s her greatest mistake. No

Ingrid’s jaw dropped from what Louis just said. It was so rude from her perspective that she felt she was humiliated in front of him, and the only thing that could save her dignity at that time was to actually go home. She did not expect Louis to suddenly act like that. Although she had heard how foully Louis treats women whom he has no interest in, her ego just couldn’t accept the fact that she was one of those girls he had rudely treated. She could clearly see how hard it is to tame Louis that she just goes home for a while and leaves her sister to Louis, but at the back of her mind, she doesn’t really care about Helena. It was just her act to pretend that she cared, but she didn’t. Not even a bit.She was cursing Helena instead, blaming her for the misfortune she was getting the moment Helena woke up from her coma. It was like she had brought her bad luck that things weren’t going according to what Ingrid planned or wanted.Meanwhile, Helena was already starting to calm down as soo
