Treated Still As Before

The next day, after breakfast Camille walked with Alpha Arthur to his car.

"I'm going to work on the house pack. I'll make sure I finish quickly so I can come home and give you a hugh!" Alpha Arthur teased Camille.

Camille blushed at her Alpha's teasing. She hadn't expected to become a Luna so soon.

"I hope you're not imagining me at work," Camille said.

Alpha Arthur chuckled and shook his head.

They were still staying with Elder Jhonas and planned to move into one of the houses in the pack's neighbourhood next month.

Camille waved goodbye as she watched her husband leave and just as she turned back.

Camille was surprised to see Luna Elena and Sofia standing right in front of her, with a sardonic look on their faces and their arms crossed over their stomachs.

"I hope you know your duties in this house after Alpha Arthur goes to work." said Luna Elena.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Luna Elena!" Camille answered.

Suddenly an Omega came over to the breakfast table to clear away some of the used plates and glasses. But Luna Elena said again,

"Omega, go back to the kitchen. Let Camille clean up!" Luna Elena ordered the Omega and then she looked at Camille, "Because that is also her job as an Omega," Luna Elena continued in a sarcastic tone while she giggled at Sofia.

Camille couldn't do much yet, even though she was currently in the same layer as her in-laws and sister-in-law. She still felt the need to be careful with both of them.

Without further ado, Camille nodded and then tidied up and cleared the dining table.

"No one will be able to defend you, we are the only ones in this house right now. Elder Jhonas and Alpha Arthur have gone to the pack house!"

Elder Jhonas also seemed to have gone to the pack house before Alpha Arthur. There was an important meeting between the elders and the council today.

"Oh yes, after that please iron my blue dress, I am going to the Lunas meeting this afternoon." Camille's mother-in-law ordered.

"Am I also invited?" Unfortunately, Camille even asked this question, which would obviously provoke a negative reaction from Elena.

However, it wasn't Elena who replied, but her daughter Sofia, standing behind her.

"How dare you said like that, you've just become a Luna, don't expect to be able to join the Luna Society so quickly." Her sister-in-law said.

Camille just sighed, tried to be patient and resumed her task of clearing the breakfast table. Then, Luna Elena had instructed, Camille hurried to prepare clothes for her mother-in-law and Sofia.

Camille felt depressed by the negative attitude of the two women, even if she had followed their orders. She had not been able to turn their hatred into love.

Camille then went to the mirror at the end of the corridor leading to her room and the other rooms on the second floor of the house.

"I know this is not easy for you, Camille. I don't know how long they'll be like this, just focus and do your best for your Alpha."

The wolf in her spoke again.

"Everyone knows their hard and cruel nature. I don't like the way they look down on me," Camille chimed in.

"Be patient and..." Nessie had not finished speaking when she heard footsteps approaching.

Nessie disappeared again and was forced to end her conversation with Camille.

Camille looked behind her, a little surprised because it turned out that the person walking towards her was Mike, the future husband of Sofia, her sister-in-law.

"Hi Luna Camille. Sorry to surprise you. I just wanted to meet my future wife," he said.

"Didn't Sofia tell you that she and Luna Elena went to Luna's meeting at the Moon Dark Alliance mansion?" said Camille.

The man raised an eyebrow in slight surprise, "Why didn't she tell me? Well, thank you for the information Luna Camille. But it's no problem as long as I can talk to you alone."

Camille found the man's attitude strange, especially considering his current expression, which looked like he was flirting.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"I mean we can talk together while I wait for Luna Elena and Sofia to return, right?"

Camille was a little worried by the man's strange behaviour.

"I think I should go back to the kitchen to help the Omegas and prepare a meal for Alpha Arthur and Elder Jhonas later," Camille said, quickly leaving Beta Mike standing.

"How dare that bitch be so rude to me, just make sure I don't let you get away with it!" muttered Beta Mike, annoyed by Camille's latest rejection.

Sofia and Beta Mike will have their wedding next month. Camille had long known Beta Mike's character and nature within the pack.

While he was a man who was very responsible and professional in his work as a Beta in the Shadow Moon pack, there was a negative side to the man that the senior wolves in the pack might not be aware of.

Beta Mike often flirted with the Omegas and other women in the pack. However, the man was very good at hiding his depraved nature from the council and the pack master.

Only the lower ranks knew, for they wouldn't dare tell the truth. Some even kept quiet when Beta Mike gave them money.

All the way to the kitchen, Camille tried to calm down.

"He thinks I can be teased like any other Omega? I feel like telling Sofia about his true nature, but maybe she'll hate me instead of trusting me," Camille muttered to herself.

Beta Mike was then seen walking to his car to return to the pack house.

Then the man called his future wife, Sofia.

Beta Mike: Why didn't you tell me you weren't home?

Sofia: Oh honey! I'm sorry I was in such a hurry. Who did you find out from? Did you come to the house?

Beta Mike: That damn Omega told me!

Sofia: Camille? Ah, what did she say again?

Beta Mike: That Omega even had the nerve to teach me, saying that I should concentrate on working in the pack house and not come home so often until I officially become your husband.

Sofia: Damn, she said that? Relax, I'll clear with it later.

It seems that Mike is distorting the facts and lying to Sofia. No one knows what he meant by slandering Camille.
