I undertook the task of ordering various items and contacting multiple designers regarding my wedding dress and bridal outfits, including how my nuptial cake is going to be, despite Julian not picking or returning my calls. I took into consideration that he could be busy as well, likely striving to attend to our wedding preparations and plans, until I could no longer take it anymore.

The suspense was way too much, so I decided to drop by at his place.

The moment the cab driver pulled over in front of his big gate, I paid him off, then veered around to make my way into his mansion. Stepping into the opulent living room, my attention got drawn to the loud voices from the direction of the stairs.

“Breathe Ava! Breathe!!! It's definitely not what you think.” I tried to keep my cool, to listen to the voice in my head instead and not rush things up.

I picked up my pace right away, hastening up the stairs till I got to Julian's door where my feet came to a stop.
