Ashley

The sound of the mice was all I heard throughout, in that dungeon. I was so confused and felt maybe I should have accepted the proposal from Jonah—one of the guards mandated to keep watch over me in the cell. He actually offered to have a one night stand with me and set me free from the dungeon. But I couldn’t trust that because he's definitely bound to betray me in the long run. I shrieked at the sight of tiny mice which ran across my feet.

I was so surprised the council of elders weren’t done with their meeting yet. Alex made it clear that I would die that same day but from the look of things, it wasn’t looking so possible, or perhaps they had plans to execute me by nightfall.

‘What the hell is going on? Why is no one coming to see me? What’s the matter? What could have possibly gone wrong?’ I tried to ascertain the magnitude of the whole situation at the moment before I heard the clinging of keys and the door to the dungeon opened up. Some werewolf guards walked right in. They weren’t looking like actual werewolves at first because the room looked so dark, I tried to scream out, to create an awareness.

“What is happening here?! Why are you guys pulling me?! Let me go!” I yelled continuously as they dragged me even closer to them.

“Shut your track! Aren’t you seeing the time?!” I heard a voice within them ask, though I couldn’t see who it was because the room wasn’t bright enough.

What got me thrilled the most, was the fact that he talked about the time. I wasn’t ready to even ponder on that because the pressure I faced was so intense.

“What has Alexander decided?” I muttered in fear as I turned to see the chief guard. He was so muscular, like someone we could refer to as ‘giant’ due to his huge nature.

‘Why the hell did he ask if I hadn't checked the time?’ I muttered for the second time and now realized that it was all my fault. I dozed off before stumbling on the mice at the dungeon, it was actually the reason I even woke up.

‘Fuck,’ I mumbled. It was already dawn.

‘Does that mean that they had sentenced me to die at dawn? Or maybe there was some sort of misunderstanding somewhere?’

“Move faster!” He commanded and this time handed over the whip to the man by his left and to my greatest surprise, it was none other than Jonah.

“My first lady, we meet again,” He said, as he chuckled slowly before giving me a lustful wink. I saw how annoying the young man was so I decided to ignore. He kept on with the pressure. “You should have let me penetrate your vagina, maybe you’d be free by now,”

It wasn’t looking so conducive for me at all so I had to cause some commotion right away. I spat on Jonah’s face.

“What?! Are you out of your goddamn mind?!”

He groaned, with his hands raised, almost, striking at me before the chief guard turned and warned.

“Hey! Stop that! What the hell is wrong with you? Why would you want to lay your hands on her? don’t you realize she’s the Alpha’s prisoner?!” he scolded as he drew his dagger out of his rack and pointed straight at Jonah who was angered already.

“What do you think you’re doing? Why are you acting in such a silly manner? Do you think I would be standing in front of…” he wasn’t done before he received a very hot slap from Jeremy.

“Maybe that would help you keep shut.” The chief guard watched them all stare back at him.

I realized Jonah was furious and just before he rushed up to him, we all heard a trembling voice from the background. I felt so scared at it though but turned to see it was none other but Alex..

He stood right at the entrance when I saw the light. To my surprise, the people were already waiting for me in their numbers. They wanted to witness my execution.

‘Wasn’t this the same people who vouched for me? the same people who endorsed my stay here as Luna? and now just because of a lie they turned their back on me?’ I muttered as I stared at Alex who turned to me, fiercely. I couldn’t even breathe steadily. My heart raced while I was pulled forcefully.

“I’ll not condone any form of fighting here, it’s way too early to begin such, am I understood?” Alex’s voice echoed with his dagger in his hands pointing at them before continuing. He walked to me and smiled. I felt confused one more time and tried to understand why he would react in such a manner.

“Come on Ashley, you’ll have to get yourself prepared, you’re about to stand in front of the pack. Everyone has gathered to witness your passing. There’s no need to plead, it’s all over. Guys take her to the execution ground.”

“Alex, Alex please!” I cried. My eyes almost popped out of the it’s walls.

“Shut the fuck up! you swine!!” He slammed. and I could feel the veins from his head erupt.. ordered I be taken down to the ground-x. That was the center for executing perpetrators of my kind.

“Take her and make sure she breathes her last!”

Alex raised his voice as they held him still and everyone turned towards me. The murmuring from the crowd echoed abroad. My head was directed into the rounded stake and right then I knew it was all over.

‘So he resolved to behead me?’ I muttered as tears poured down my eyes which were now reddish. I couldn’t plead any further, they all wanted me dead. All that was left for me was to pray to the moon goddess to give me a second chance, because I wouldn’t have peace in the afterlife.

Alex watched from the stands and lifted his right hand in a bid to command the executioner who raised his axe.

‘My dear Alex,’ I muttered as I felt my spirit leave my body

Chapter 49: Restless ShadowsAshleyThe silence in my room was louder than thunder. I couldn’t sit still. My feet dragged me back and forth, from the edge of the bed to the window, then back again, like some caged animal pacing in circles. My fingers kept twisting the hem of my blouse until the fabric wrinkled, and my thoughts tumbled over one another, messy and sharp.Tony.The name wouldn’t leave my head. Tony—the prisoner. Claire’s Tony.Luke’s voice replayed in my skull like a curse: “Alpha, the prisoner… I’m afraid he’s escaped.”I pressed a palm to my temple, trying to quiet the pounding ache. It didn’t add up. It didn’t make sense. No one escapes silver chains reinforced by pack guards. Not unless someone wanted them to.My wolf stirred inside me, uneasy, her growl low, restless. I couldn’t tell if it was warning or suspicion, but it pressed against my ribs until I felt like my chest would split.I looked at the door again—maybe the fifth, maybe the tenth time. Claire was takin

Chapter 48: Alpha…!Ashley. Finally… I could feel the breeze, inhale the fresh air of my true world. It had been horrible, trapped in that twisted timeline where chaos lurked behind every moment. I stood still for a second, letting the wind kiss my face. How come I’m able to remember what happened in the world where Claire tampered with time? I muttered under my breath.I had been trying to reach Boris on the phone for a while, but he wasn’t picking up. Moving toward the mirror, I gave my face a final touch — tonight I had a meeting. Strange that I had even scheduled it; I had just come back from… time itself.Knock knock.I froze. My heart picked up speed. The knock was off — irregular, hesitant, but forceful in its own way. Not the usual rhythm of the maidens. Maybe Claire? I watched the door, waiting. Then the handle bent. Someone was opening the goddamn door — with authority.“Who the fuck…?” I whispered, bracing myself. And then I saw him.“Oh, my angel, I’m so sorry! I saw your

  • Revenge of a reincarnated Luna    Back in time

Chapter 47: Back in time. Claire. [Back to three days ago] The scenario gave us all hope. I saw myself dashing with a speed one would figuratively refer to as the speed of light. I rushed across the other maidens who were with their bowls and flowers. “Watch it! Claire,” one of them yelled as I rushed and hit her with my shoulders. “So sorry please.” I responded, my voice diminishing as I headed straight to the kitchen. ‘What the hell is wrong with this human?’ I heard one of them say as I rushed farther. It was one of the most traumatizing moments of my life. Nothing more hurts more than seeing the ones you love being at the brink of death. I had to save Tony at all costs and that’s the priority. I entered the kitchen, my eyes darting towards the cooks as they stared at me. The chief cook stared at me with worry etching her eyes, my face dwindling towards the plates and the pot which contained some meat and probably the rice cooked for the day. “Claire, are you sure you’re alr

  • Revenge of a reincarnated Luna    Plot Twist

Chapter 46: Plot Twist Claire. Pain. What more can I say? Everything I’ve ever believed in and worked for, all collapsing before my very eyes. The one true love who made me tamper with time had just proved to me that that shit called true love didn’t exist. I was chained all along to the wall and awaited the knife to be struck into my neck like Luke’s, maybe Monica and her sister would have something else to do with Roan and Jasper. My heart bled, my head ached, my eyes clumsy and my feet flooded with blood. All that mattered to me was giving up the ghost at the time because there was nothing left. Monica and Eunice pointed the knife at Jasper to reveal the truth concerning what they said, but he tried everything possible to avoid being dumb. He spoke, lied and made sure he saved the day, or at least, bought us some time. “Hey, can you at least speak up?!” Monica yelled at him. Her face contorted in rage, her eyes blazed with fury. Her lips curled into a snarl. “Hey, come on sis

  • Revenge of a reincarnated Luna    What did they say?

Chapter 45: What did they say? Ashley. We were tied and kept in the same room. The werewolves were stationed at every corner while Monica, Eunice and Simon were outside, making some decisions about our prosecution. I watched closely to see if maybe there’ll be an escape route from but couldn’t find any. Our only savior in the room who happened to be a witch was now chained. It was so tragic to know that she’d been played all along by the one person she loved the most, the one she trusted and could die for, the same person who made her tamper with the time spell. Claire was chained to the wall and tormented by the werewolves. She was tortured so badly that she bled all over. I felt pity on her. Jasper and I were tied to a chair as we backed each other. We whispered all along as we watched Claire. “Told you not to trust him, didn't I?” He whispered. “Uncle, you wouldn’t blame her, she’s got every reason to react the way she just did, and trust me, I think this whole thing is more

  • Revenge of a reincarnated Luna    Betrayal

Chapter 44: Betrayal Claire. The plan rested in our hands; Tony and I. I walked quietly as Tony had my back. We both made it past the werewolves who guarded the back door. Thanks to my magical expertise. I was surprised he didn’t realize that at all, even after the silly mistake I made at the beginning. He kept a steady gaze at the path where the werewolf guards were, ready to unleash his cruel wolf if anything had gone wrong. “Why are you staring at me like that?” He asked, his voice soothing as he tilted his brows. Of course, he felt so confused about the whole thing right then. I wasn’t even in my right senses, I stared so lustfully like he’s just returned from a very busy trip. His lips and jawline amazed me; I couldn’t shake the feeling that everything would be alright even after all these. “What do you mean? I just had to make one good stare and you’re telling me…” “Claire, you seem to forget the fact that we’re on a mission and our part is the most crucial part of this mis
