"Okay, see you soon. Call or text me anytime." I said farewell before our meeting ended. I intended to escort her to where she parked her car, but she declined.

Hannah flashed me a broad smile that reached her eyes. I subconsciously followed her by tugging the same smile. Somehow, she exuded a positive aura.

"I will text you."

I was slightly disappointed with her choice. I gave her two, but she only replied with the last one.

But it was okay. Texting or anything would be better than nothing.

"Have a safe drive." Then I paused when something ran across my mind. "Should I ask you to text me after you get home?"

She chuckled, and it made her look brighter. "I will if I don't forget where my phone is."

I put on an act of disappointment as best I could. "Too bad. I will wait for you."

"Why does everyone want to wait for me?"

"Huh?"

"No. I was just talking to myself."

My brows furrowed, not really understanding her words. Was everyone she meant, including her boyfriend?
