HANNAH

Eliot's eyes blazed with anger. It was so dark that I couldn't feel the humanity in them anymore.

No. It shouldn't have been like this. Eliot should have been happy because I was pregnant.

"Get rid of it." He spoke coldly, the coldest I had ever heard from him. But I knew it was laced with rage. I only needed to push the button. Then he would explode.

I swallowed hard as my mind worked to calm him down. But I couldn't think of any way. My brain froze. Instead, tears streamed down my eyes. "No," I answered, trying to hold my sobs.

"I don't take no." He gritted his teeth before grabbing my hand and forcing me to follow him.

"Where are we going?"

"To kill it."

"No!" I tried to pull my hand, but his grip was tight so that it pained me. "No. No. No." I screamed in rejection. But he didn't budge and kept dragging me with him.

"Eliot, no." I was begging him. "You can't kill your own pup."

Still no change. The effort to remove my hand from Eliot's was pointless.

But then I heard a fain
