Chapter 0002

Three hundred years later, since the Holy Spirit was first discovered, there lived an old man with his grandson in the depths of the forest on Konglong Island. Konglong Island is one of a thousand small islands that are part of the East Continent after experiencing a major disaster.

"Grandpa! Grandpa!”

A six years old little boy was screaming from inside the cave. He screamed for almost an hour but the grandfather did not come to him. The little boy repeatedly wiped the sweat on his forehead, he had almost given up on the task his grandfather had given him that day.

If the previous days the grandfather asked him to hunt a deer, or occasionally lions, at that time the grandfather burdened him with the task of hunting elephants. Not just any elephant, the grandfather also obligated his grandson to choose the elephant with the longest trunk in the forest. The little boy had started hunting elephants when the sun had not yet risen perfectly. While the moment he shouted for his grandfather, the sun was getting ready to sink. That means, the day will turn to night, and the little boy hasn't even had breakfast yet.

The little boy named Zhou Fu, he didn't shout for his failure of catching up his prey. He shouted for something else. In fact, he had at least managed to get his prey into the trap he set in the cave when it was still noon. Yeah, he successfully got the elephant with the longest trunk in the forest.

However, Zhou Fu started screaming for his grandfather because he didn't know how to bring such a large prey to his hut. Elephant is too big to be carried by the a six years old boy.

The distance from the cave to Zhou Fu's hut was about three miles, a short distance if the prey had been a tiger, or perhaps a crocodile. When he was about to go hunting for elephants, Zhou Fu forgot to ask his grandfather how to lift such a big animal.

“Grandpa… Come here, if you are willing to help me, I promise tomorrow I will bring two elephants for you!” Zhou Fu shouted again from inside the cave, his voice was loud enough that he immediately covered his ears because the cave he was in was humming his screams many times louder.

"I said, you're not even strong enough to be called as a child," an old geezer walked into the mouth of the cave with fairly relaxed steps. He looked at his grandson's prey without the slightest admiration, "When I was your age, I could even throw a mother elephant tens miles away!"

Zhou Fu started to cover his ears with both hands. He is always annoyed when his grandfather tells his greatness in childhood.

"If grandpa was that great as a child, why do we have to hide in this forest all the time." Zhou Fu snorted in annoyance, he always wanted to travel to other places besides Konglong island, but his grandfather always said that the world is too horrible and the two of them haven't strong enough to step out.

“Yeah, if I go alone, I guess I'll be free to enjoy the harsh world. But damn, I have to take care of a little boy who can't even bring home his prey," the old man replied as his hands rubbed against the stone from the cave. It seems that he intends to spend the night in the cave with Zhou Fu while enjoying the long trunk elephant head.

Deep down, the old man was actually quite amazed by Zhou Fu's abilities that surpassed children at his age. Unfortunately, even though he repeatedly wished he could praise his grandson, he remembered that Zhou Fu had to be educated to become stronger and stronger.
