A week later,

"Gretchen I told you I don't want to eat," I grumbled as she placed the food in front of my bed.

" Lisa you can't keep starving yourself like this most especially your baby, look now you have a fever," she placed her hand on my forehead and felt my temperature. She was right, I had been sick for the past three days now. I didn't know if it was because of the fish I was always eating or if something was wrong with the baby. I was shivering on the hard bed as Gretchen went out of my cottage and came back with a bucket filled with water and a rag. As soon as the rag touched my head, I felt the hot liquid caressing my head. Gretchen had prepared food for me but as usual, I didn't feel the need to eat the food. I was as weak as a doll, almost like lifeless. Gretchen removed the cloth i used in wrapping my body and lifted up my shirt as she caressed my invisible bump with the rag.
